Hit chest, tri, and shoulders tonight. 235x12,10,7,7 on the bench, 95x12,10,8,8 for skull crushers, and 70x12,10,8,8 for dumbbell shoulder presses were the highlights. Super-setted with other exercises in between. Good day, but I'm beat now.

Re: Pumping Iron with Zemekone and Icehog3

Good deal, Rob. :tu

Chest day for me, hit inclines and flat dumbbells, and some wirghted dips to finish off. Tomorrow will be some light legs (have a hockey game at night), and arms.

Re: Pumping Iron with Zemekone and Icehog3

Worked back and biceps today. Really liking the reverse flyes for my upper back/trap area. Also threw in some barbell shrugs which is out of the ordinary for me. Good day over all. Hit the sauna afterwards, which was an awesome way to end the day.

Re: Pumping Iron with Zemekone and Icehog3

Reverse flys or the cables... Love the exercise.

Chest tomorrow, think I will go for reps. I got myself a new toy.... Hemo Rage.

Re: Pumping Iron with Zemekone and Icehog3

Reps for legs and heavy bi's today. Probably was a mistake doing legs on a gmae day, I didn't have much juice in the game.

Shoulders and tri's tomorrow, that shoudln't effect tomorrow night's game.

My usual 30 minutes of cardio and shoulders. May attempt a very light back routine tomorrow, see how I feel after work.

Resting today. Going to the range to practice rifle for a couple of hours instead.

Decided to do back instead. Seems like Mondays are chest days for everyone.

Tom, Hemo Rage is the ****. One of the best pumps I've had. Felt like a freaking beast today.

Awesome, Huy! :tu

Shoulders and tri's today, not my strongest day but a good workout considering.

Off day for me Tuesday. Don't feel like I need one, but I am forcing myself to take one. Should have a monster back workout Wednesday.

Re: Pumping Iron with Zemekone and Icehog3

Did back tonight after work. Mind you, this the first time I have done back workout since the end of September after I hurt my back. Light weights with high reps and no tightening or muscle spasms, so it appears. Will have to take it easy so not to injure, but glad I can finally add the back routine to the weekly routine.

Made a real try at 225 on bench yesterday... felt close, but didn't get it... will probably try again Thursday. I actually feel like I will be able to do it. :banger

Don't curl your lower back! Make it an honest lift when it does happen.

Well I figured it was time to post in here. Its always fun to read this thread and since I started hitting the gym hard almost two years ago, its time to share!:banger

They don't call Monday National Chest Day for nothing...:D I do my best to keep my splits so that Chest doesn't hit on Monday but sometimes it happens.

Did Chest/Triceps yesterday. Wasn't feeling it and my shoulder was a tad sore so I went high rep on chest and hit tris hard. Did some flat dumbbell presses and flyes, incline barbell press, Crossovers, then onto Tris.

Today is a high rep legs day. Doing between 20-50 reps on most exercises. Gonna fall over dead once I'm done...

Love it, Zach....I hate when chest falls on a Monday, competing for equipment with all the chest/bi Mon-Wed-Fri lifters. :lr

I am into toning. Treadmill, situps, pushups and reps with free weights. Not the type of power iron you guys are throwing around though. So not a lot thread wise to contribute. But just to say hi, I have been lurking around here as well.

Nothing wrong with toning Mikael and welcome to the thread:tu

Re: Pumping Iron with Zemekone and Icehog3

Shoulders and Tris today. I felt a little more tired than usual, so I had to keep the same amount of reps/weight as last time. Until I can do 12,10,10,and 8 reps in a set, I stay at the same weight. After I get that, I go up in weight and drop the rep count, then slowly build up again. It's really helped me build my strength.

Did shoulders today. Has to be one of my least favorite groups to work. Just for extra measure I did some DTP ez bar curls for Biceps as well. I don't usually do Bicep/shoulder splits, but it worked out this week. :banger

Re: Pumping Iron with Zemekone and Icehog3

You funny guys!

Elbow held up today, cut my number of exercises way down and cut my rest between sets to almost nil. Bent over rows, cable rows and barbell shrugs. That was it, about 20 sets in less than 30 minutes, and my back is toast.

Adriftpanda 02-13-2013 04:19 PM

Re: Pumping Iron with Zemekone and Icehog3

Glad it held up Mr.Hog!

You know you had a good leg workout when you want to throw up.

When I was younger, Hujy, our leg day would consist of way too many sets of heavy squats, followed by a 10 minute drive to a toboggan hill down the raod. We would run sprints up the hill, our goal being 10. None of us ever made it, by run number 7 or so, either our hamstrings would lock up, or we would literally be puking our guts out.

I think it was around those days I began to train on an empty stomach, and do so to this day.

Rob hooked me up zemekone style! Besides the NO-Explode, he sent some ON BCCAs, some whey protein, a nice set of Bodybuilding.com lifting straps and an awesome Coast Guard pin. Best part might have been the note, complete with some artwork. Rob, I won't post a pic, but the art made me smile...Thank you, Brother, I will be hitting the NO-Explode tomorrow, been a long time since I used it. :D

One of the hardest Pilates classes to date. One chick brought her boyfriend to class and he was crying. I think the instructor as being devious that there were 4 guys in class. Chatted with a few gals and they thought the class was harder than usual.

My core has never been as strong, if only I could shed some fat, but that would mean less wine, cheese and meat...

Yeah they definitely LOVE to do that. The TRX instructor at my gym does that when the class fills up with noobs especially if they are men...:sl

I wasn't feeling it today so I did Calves and Abs with 30 mins Cardio. Made it through even if I really didn't wanna be there today!:gary

Very cool, Rob.

Did shoulders and some abs today. Felt so so, could have gone harder but had Staci with me so I had to reduce the exercises. I did managed to squeeze in 6 working sets for presses.

I had a chitload of energy, Zach, which translated well, as my elbow was wonky, so I went with a medium weight / super high rep / super low rest scheme. I got a helluva pump, not sure if that will translate into any growth but it sure jacked me up.

Upper body this afternoon following and early AM at work:

Standing bicep curls x4/8reps
Standing upright row x4/8reps
