Believe me, I wish I didn't know what it was...

On a different note, anyone have an opinion to offer in regards to Reebok Zigs? I need a new pair of workout shoes, and there's several pairs on sale right now. Yes, I know they're hideous looking, but I'm not entering a fashion contest with them.

Gains in strength were significant on all lifts.

No side effects of note.

Not sure what the third question means, please clarify and I will do my best to answer.

what was your PCT and on cycle support?

Post cycle therapy- some guys use an anti-estrogen or test booster when coming off a PH cycle

On cycle support- some guys take precautionary supps- either proprietary or things like hawthorn berry- to prevent liver damage since a lot of PH are taxing on the liver.

thanks for the response

I saw those actually, and tried them on...Not a fan. I was looking for a new pair of shoes but eh...either I'm not with "the times" or those shoes were terribly weird and uncomfortable. They do look goofy as sh*t that's for sure.

Let me elaborate a bit on the "not a fan". When the shoes bend in your step they feel VERY off to me. I didn't like it at all.

Gotcha. :tu

I used to take anti-estrogen supps when I stopped the PHs, but I haven't in a few years and don't seem to suffer any ill effects for it.

Only issue I have ever had with the PH cycles has been elevated creatinine levels, but never to the point where my doctor thought it was a problem, and was usually solved my raising my water intake. I have never taken Hawthorn Berry, but use Taurine, Zinc Picolonate, Saw Palmetto and Coenzyme Q-10.

Just because two of you commented on it... :D

Think alcohol enema. Ingesting alcohol anally vs. orally bypasses the digestive and filtration system in the body, making absorption into the bloodstream much quicker and potent. :tu

Thanks for the input. I admit that I haven't even tried a pair on yet, just had a buddy tell me that they had a sale going on out at the mall and I should check them out.

Well that was the trial run of Muscle Marinade. First time with any of the DMAA PWO's so I took 3/4 of a scoop. I personally don't get why it was banned, I didn't feel very different at all. In fact to me this feels like "cleaner" pure energy. My lifts weren't really any better and it made me sweat like a banshee but overall I got a good workout in.

I'll have to give it a few more tries and see what I think. I can say I couldn't imagine taking a whole sh*tton of this stuff so it's probably cost effective. I haven't crashed yet, we'll see. Tastes good though. I'll do 1 full scoop next time.

I did this for a while. Made me strong like a bull, and allowed me to gain a lot of muscle weight, but I think I'm going to stay away from Test boosters and Anti Estrogens. Loved the result, but had one nasty side effect for me: Gynecomastia due to the huge increase in testosterone (yes, I know, quite embarrassing). It's a common condition for men, but my doctor said that these supplements likely contributed to it, especially at such a young age. I am currently scheduling surgery to remove the tissue that formed as a result. Works for some, but just wanted to throw that out there for anyone who has not yet dabbled in the realm of T boosters. :2

Did you try taking Anastrozole or another estrogen inhibitor?

Re: Pumping Iron with Zemekone and Icehog3

Unfortunately, I developed the hard, painful (glandular) gynecomastia not the fatty kind that some medicines of anti-estrogens can help shrink down. I've done some serious researching, as has my doctor, and it would seem that at this stage in the game (six months, and still hasn't gotten better, even off supps) I'm going to have to go under the knife :(. Luckily my insurance will cover it which is a relief when I saw how much the surgery can cost!

I was lucky, never had any gynecomastia issues, even before my current career when I dabbled in some illegal supplements for a time (26+ years ago).

I'm way too afraid of getting B**** Tits, so I always take an E-blocker and a T-boost as a post cycle. as for during, I usually just take a liver support or just milk thistle pills.

I'm going more for the core strength and a little of fat burning. I'll never have ripped abs. I've always said "regular weight/strength training takes discipline but ab work takes character". Even though I'm giving it ANOTHER try I'm convinced I don't have what it takes for ripped abs. This was confirmed as I :sadwas eating cheesecake 11:30 last night.

Whether you think you can or think you can't, you are right. :D

I'm 45 and in the best shape of my life. I eat donuts, chocolate, pizza, etc. I made home made pizza last weekend and ate four 11" pizzas to myself. I don't do cardio because I hate it. I do 5 sets of abs, 3X week. Abs show up when you eat fewer calories than you burn.

went to GNC to re-up on protein.... the guy there was really trying to steer me towards the Re-Built Mass product. Any thoughts on that?

Personally, depends on the goal you want. Mass gainers, like the one I've been taking, can have as much as 1250 calories, 250g carbs, and 50+g of protein in a single serving (which is too high for some people). I'm trying to put on weight and muscle currently, and it's really worked well for me. I also take half a serving of gainer after workouts and before bed to put back carbs and other nutrients into my body. If you're trying to strictly gain muscle and have a decent amount of body fat, then Whey Protein is prolly the way to go :2 I used to be extremely skinny, but now stand at 6'0" and 200 pounds -- 35 pounds in one year!

ON Serious Mass?

What you can do as well is cut the serving in half if it is too much. I've heard people having great success with taking half a serving of ON Serious Mass for twice as long.

Exactly! Sounds like you've used it before. The normal scoops are ENORMOUS, and they practically fill my shaker bottle more than half way. That's why I halve my servings. Plus it makes it last longer, which means I can get more cigars instead :tu

Bill86 07-16-2012 02:12 PM

Re: Pumping Iron with Zemekone and Icehog3

Nope, I actually haven't. I've just read into it heavily. I will probably go on it in a few months.

I noticed the 334 G scoop and I knew that was a RIDICULOUS size serving, 10 times a normal protein shak. So I read about it and people were cutting it in half. An extra 625 calories + milk if you use it was more than enough for most people.

Was it purchased through "The Natural Health Shoppe" on Amazon Marketplace, Stephen?

Took them 8 days to even ship (if it was backordered, they should have told me). Then it got hung up in Indiana for 3 days....looks like it's finally on the move again today.

No sir, I purchased directly from Amazon (Prime member; free two day shipping). I went and looked at, "The Naturall Health Shoppe" on Amazon and noticed that they have this blurb under their produts:

Quote:

Processing takes an additional 4 to 5 days for orders from this seller.
Ships from and sold by The Natural Health Shoppe. Gift-wrap available.
*edit* Looking around, it doesn't even look like Amazon is selling it directly now. Bastages.

Eating a lot, but eating very well...I tried to cut as much junk food out of my diet as possible. Other than that, 2 bowls of spinach salad, 6 glasses of 2% milk, and sometimes weight gainer when I miss a meal are a daily staple of diet. 4-5 times a week in the gym! For 18 years I never walked into a weight room...so I really had nothing to lose to begin with :r
