I worked hard for this one... I'm my own rabbit dog.

I'm going to try this recipe:

BBQ Rabbit
Quarter the rabbit (front legs, hind legs, loins in 4 chunks)
Boil in seasoned water for 30 min (salt, pepper, seasoning salt, garlic/onion powder)
Remove meat from bone and shred, remove shot
Cook in oven with bbq sauce until HOT

I love rabbit stew, here's a recipe you may enjoy, I'd add some carrot too.
There are a lot of great Portuguese recipes for rabbit stew out there. A search will find you more. Oh, and nice rabbit!

Never tried rabbit. There's a resturant in town that does it that I'll have to try.

Rabbit is tasty, but it's not a widely available in the market place as it should be. That wild rabbit should taste different (assume gamier and richer) than the supermarket rabbit.

Have you tried both side by side? I wonder if the species plays a role in all this as well?

We used to always pick off a few while dove or quail hunting. My dad made the rabbit the same way as veal picata w/ mushrooms and capers. :dr

I've had wild rabbit and it tasted a little gamey to me, not bad but I think it could have been prepared better.

Nice one. We can put away some rabbit here in Central Ohio. Yum Yum! My favorite way to cook them is simply over an open fire with just a little Everglades seasoning.

Finger smackin good!

I love rabbit but my wife's family raises them in Ukraine and they taste nothing like her mom's so she's always disappointed when I cook them.
