HC Criollo Toro - these are my go-to when I want a Criollo blend, great cigar for the price

LFD Air Bender Corona - phew, this one caught me off guard!! Intense cigar, spicy and complex, my guess is that these would age quite well....hmmm...

Isabela Corona - whew Isabela makes some good cigars...tobacco tastes extensively aged and complex...they do have lightly sweetened caps but the sweetness is barely noticeable and really kind of inconsequential once you notice how amazing the tobacco tastes. Highly recommended. :tu

My first Velvet Rat. I thought it was gonna be a pepper bomb based on pre-light draw, but it was actually medium bodied and smooth. I probably wouldn't go deep on these for my palate, but once in a while as a change of pace cigar will work.

Yeah, the Camacho Criollo has always been a personal favorite...makes me wish there were more Honduran Criollo blends out there. HC has a good one too, but I think I still prefer Camacho's. :tu

Foundation The Tabernacle Corona - pheeeeeewwww what a damned fine ceegar. These just showed up in the mail a couple days ago and after a little dry boxing this little beauty is smoking like a champ. Absolutely perfect burn line and just a truly splendid profile, spicy earthiness deluxe.

I think I'll be revisiting the Foundation brand again soon. :tu

Oh yeah the #142 is somehow even better I know! I have a box of them in toro stashed away...only reason that corona I posted isn't a #142 Is because a real wise guy thought it would be cute to outbid me on a box of #142 at cigar auctioneer. But it worked out because it reminded me just how good the original Tabernacle is as well! Thanks for the recommendation though, when I get more of the #142 I'll take a look at the lancer is. :tu

Haha I finally got around to buying a 5er of them in Corona vitola! At a certain point I figured there HAS to be a reason you seem to smoke them so often, so I'm eager to try them! Will definitely post back here when I get around to them. :)

This morning I went with another Aganorsa Leaf Signature Selection Natural Toro (no picture today, was at risk of appearing redundant), this time the blend is smoking much more like what I remember - rich, satisfying Nica smoke!

Oh I'm sure I will! They sound pretty good from what I've read about them. I know I really liked All out Kings, so I had been meaning to check out more of Caldwell's lines anyways, so your posts just helped me to decide where to start!

The unbanded is the FUMARE La Grande Classe, the Rex. Right from the shop as well as the Tat Unicos. Both were a bit dry so rest time on the remainder. The Rex is really dang good. Strong and tasty.

Got a 5er of these, VR Unicode, PL Picadores and Trinidad Fundadores. All new to me. Sogar my favorite of this bunch was the Fundadores but this one was very pleasant as well.

My second Por Larranaga Picadores. This one had a bit of a tight draw but no where near as bad as the first one I tried. Enjoyed it but it doesn't come close to Bolivar for me. Im thinking the Petit Corona size is just my thing. I enjoy other ring gauges but they just don't match up to the PC's for me.

Ashton Symmetry Toro - okay if I'm going to be *completely* honest, this cigar is too expensive, not at all evenly packed, tunnels occasionally and oh, what else...Im pretty sure I heard the cigar say in a tiny little voice, "you can go f@!$ yourself, buddy!" as I put the torch to it.

With that said, it tastes amazing. Just incredible flavor, really decadent - one of my favorite medium bodied profiles. It's just that there is no damned sense in the quality to price ratio...they really should add a middle finger to the cigar's band.

Yeah unfortunately I had one, early on when I got in to cigars. At least I think I did, it was definitely a Perdomo Champagne but probably not the 10 year anniversary.
I've seen Nick Perdomo interviewed and he seems like a nice guy but jeez louise, I just don't care for his cigars. Same goes for Gurkha...but hey these are things you don't know until you try them!

Protocol Probable Cause Churchill - damn fine ceegar. I'm starting to think that Protocol is one of the hidden gems of Nicaragua, which is fine by me because I don't have to have to battle other bidders as frequently on cigar auctioneer for them. I think my Nica loyalties still lies with Aganorsa/Casa Fernandez but La Zona is coming in at a red hot 2nd.

AJF Ramon Allones - doesn't even remotely taste like a Cuban RASS (but then I suppose that's par for the course) but despite that, this is an incredible cigar and a personal NC favorite. Powerful, rich, funky and ages well! (So far anyway)

Aganorsa Leaf Signature Selection Natural Toro - these are a killer cigar imo, very smoky & has a really interesting malted note to it!

And yeah those Antanos are super strong, very leathery spicy smoke! Not the kind of cigar I could smoke all the time but good if that's something that one is in the mood for. :tu

DT Sobremesa Robusto - decided to revisit this one and I definitely like it, but it reminds me a heck of a lot of the Camacho Criollo blend. I know there are a lot of other leaves in this blend but the criollo really sticks out (which is a good thing imo!)

AF Reserva Don Carlos Presidente - I saw a 5er of these on cigarauctioneer recently that no one was bidding on and decided to add them to my shipment & im glad I did. I feel like I've been quick to look over the AF brand while seeking out lesser known brands, when at the end of the day AF still makes a killer cigar. I've been working my way through a sampler of all their lines and yea good stuff. I still think the Liga maestro is the best of the bunch but Cosecha 2015 was pretty enjoyable. Also, this is a different Mombacho from the brand I remember in the mid 2000s.

Smoked my third Yagua. So far so good, medium to full bodied, good burn on all of them considering the wonky shapes.

Sinistro The Last Cowboy Natural Churchill - this was actually ROTT and after about a day of dry boxing it's smoking like a champ. For the record - while it's listed as natural, the wrapper is a shade wrapper.

Decided to pick up more of the Sinistro brand after being impressed with the Last Cowboy Maduro line and this one lives up to its darker counterpart. Bountiful rich smoke with tons of white pepper and pleasant core herbal note that is also present in the maduro wrapper version. Pretty solid medium body throughout the course of the cigar. I think I still prefer the maduro version, but as it's a full bodied smoke, the natural version is nice for a morning smoke!

Dapper Cigars El Borracho Natural Toro - Holy Toledo, and Cincinnati, even!! Instantly in the top 5 NCs I've smoked this year. Had to buy in a Dapper sampler as they were sold out of the boxes (I clearly see why now). Full bodied & flavored, smoky, complex & a nice lingering spice. Will be trying the maduro counterpart later today but I don't see how it could possibly top this one. I highly recommend checking this one out. :tu

Dapper Cigars El Borracho Maduro Toro - alright so as I suspected, this one isn't quite as good as the natural, but still very good. A bit stronger and a little less complex with more pepper. Still, a very good cigar - would recommend to maduro fans to check this one out.

Dapper Cigars La Madeira Robusto - interesting band...but that's about where the interest ends with this one. Very mild cigar...I'd put it somewhere between mild & medium which just isn't enough to hold my interest. Oh and the cap cracked so the wrapper is rather brittle. Not recommended.

Sinistro - Honor Among Thieves Toro - really pleasant cigar, lightly sweet and very dominican...ish. I've found a lot of the cigars in the Sinistro brand have a very similar profiles and that profile is what I'd refer to as "tasty". :D

Leaf By Oscar Corojo Lancero - pleasantly surprised by this one, very nice! Zesty/peppery medium-full bodied corojo...had always thought the leaf wrapped presentation was a little gimmicky but there happens to be a great smoke inside as well!

AF Cuban Belicoso Sungrown - picked this one up yesterday at a local B&M and glad I did, it's a great smoke! Sweet, spicy and a surprising strength in body (I usually think of medium strength at most when it comes to AF)!
I think it's important to note that there is a bit of false advertising with this smoke though...they call it a "Cuban" Belicoso and yet it isn't plugged? Get out of town amigos.

Viaje Exclusivo Leaded Double Robusto - I haven't had many Viaje thanks to them being so hard to get, so I jumped on a 5er when I saw these. Definitely chock full of Medio tiempo if lighting difficulty was any indication! Very nice full bodied smoke :tu

Monte 1935 Anny by AJ - Supposed to be a re-imagined version of the 1935 Montecristo. Uhm....no. Not by a long shot. This is one AJ to avoid. Now, I've never had a '35 Monte but I bet it had some kind of flavor, unlike these new ones.

San Lotano Dominican Toro - pretty standard dominican profile, lots of wood and cream notes with a nice lingering mild pepperiness. Medium full and recommended if you are a Dominican fan.

Espinosa Especial Toro - the most recent specimen in my quest to try all things Espinosa. Pretty middle of the road especially for an Espinosa, medium bodied, cream & cocoa and completely absent is the pepper and spice associated with the brand. Not at all bad, just not great either.

Warped 1988 Robusto Extra - if you enjoy a potent Nicaraguan then I'd definitely recommend this one. Full bodied and flavor, pepper and spice. Would like to get a separate box to age because this one would definitely benefit from that as well!

Headley Grange Chamuco - have had these in the coolidor for a year or so and it's reminded me of just how much of a difference even just a long rest does for a cigar. Very pleasant smoke, but in a very subtle way...to be honest I was expecting a much spicier smoke due to the wrapper but it's rather quite smooth. Also a slow burner! Recommended. :tu

Aganorsa Leaf TABSA Habano Robusto - i know another member here helped my figure out exactly what these are and if I remember correctly, they are basically the old version of Aganorsa Leaf/Casa Fernandez Habano blend. I snagged a LOT of these from Famous Smoke when they were on clearance for pennies on the dollar. Glad I did because they appeared to have a fair amount of age already when they arrived and have been aging quite nicely in the humidor since!

Two cigars I smoked when I went to Disney and Key West

The Papas Fritas was incredible, possibly cigar of the year so far, man I miss the tins wish I could still buy them

The Pancetta was a major let down, a little flat, once it warms up in PA and my never ending sinus infection goes away I’ll burn another for a follow up
