Excellent cigar! I've found that after about 6 months in the humidor they develop a really distinctive milk chocolate-type note to them...I need to see about ordering more come to think of it!

Espinosa Alpha Dawg Corona - I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this is a horrifically named cigar. I mean really the pits. It was as if Espinosa wrote to Vanilla Ice and asked "Mr Ice, he who is the arbiter of all things co...kewl, if you were to name your own cigar, what name would you give it?"
That said, this is a really remarkably tasty cigar, I mean really really good. It would be easier to dismiss the name if it was a crappy cigar, but it isn't. I *highly* recommend this blend to anyone that likes a full bodied/full flavor cigar!

I honestly don't know much about TAA releases or this cigar in general other than it was strong and full of flavor, lots of cigars (for me anyway) tend to have points they start to get good, like after the first or second third or start on a good note only to fizzle out and I hate waiting for a stick to "wake up" or just fall flat on its face. This one was full of flavor start to finish not a bad puff at all.

New World Connecticut - one of my favorite Connecticut's, puts the Undercrown Shade to shame imho :sl

@ kelmac07 that is a pretty cool looking Romacraft! And I had a few of those Rambo Guardians last summer, they were very nice...almost want to say I might have preferred them to the Apollo...

I like the New World, but it beating out Undercrown is a big claim! -(P

Because the FDA might wipe out future sales of cigar blends first made after 2007(?), some companies are reintroducing lines which existed before that. Miami Cigar Company has reincarnated the Nestor Miranda Special Selection. I'm smoking one of the toro size right now.

This new one is very good so far. Trouble is, can't remember the originals well enough to make a useful comparison.

Aganorsa Buena Cosecha - I've almost smoked through a box of these and I think my opinion has changed a lot. Very smoky which can be nice, but this one doesn't back it up with enough flavor.

Warped Corto - a *spectacular* cigar. I have already acquired a 2nd box to age (if I can exercise the self restraint, that is.) Smaller cigar but packed full of flavor and burns slow and cool, so the size works well!

Graycliff 30 Year Vintage Toro - still love these things, even with the occasional plugged stick because when you get a good one, it's worth it. Been harder to truly enjoy these lately, as I've been primarily smoking full bodied cigars and they can dull the senses for medium and under profiles.

Crowned Heads La Imperiosa Double Robusto - this is the 2nd or 3rd out of a 5 pack and it's significantly improved with a couple months in the humidor. Going to try keeping these for a long nap one of these days. Kind of reminds me of Cigarfeds Mexican Hot Chocolate, lots of spicy buttery cocoa!

AJF Encore Toro - pretty solid medium full, but these are incredibly flavorful. Pretty sure I'll be picking up a box in the future....and I know tastes are extremely subjective - but I could swear I taste blueberry every time I punch & cold draw one of these bad hombres. My last Don Pepin rolled Padilla Miami and gosh damn it was good!!!! I was afraid it would have mellowed with time and nope. Strong and flavorful as ever and way better then I remember. I must have gotten used to how good those were and forgot. Well, Warped makes cigars almost as good so there is that :)

The CigarFed Leche de Mamas was wonderful, I had both regular and Maduros on the trip, I refuse to smoke more until they restock them so I don't run out...Man oh man that Casa Cuba was excellent, had it with my coffee one morning and it was SUBLIME. Might have to grab a box @ Tampa Sweethearts...I had 2 tabernacles, one was okay and the other was GREAT. Really interesting spicy note on that one, the Aladino Reserva was amazing as well, the gf remarked that she thought it tasted like vanilla cherry coke (take that for what you will...) oh and of course the Bolivars, I had my own PCs, BFs & RCs I brought, but the one in the last picture was from my first trade on this site ever that happened to be with a Weelok! (Hence the "W's" on the band, haha) I forgot to post that one in the other thread, but thanks for that one also Dave!

I had 2 god of fires, 1 with Carlito and 1 with Don Carlos wrapper, the Don Carlos wrapper is FAR superior to the Carlito imo, but both were very nice! And the Cohiba was very nice too! Spicier than I imagined it might be...only have 1 cohiba left so I think I'm going to let that one age/rest longer...
what else....OH!! So I don't have a picture of this one, but I had a couple MF Le Bijous by the campfire and I've decided it's my favorite MF, the Judge is a strong 2nd! :)

Oliva Inferno Toro - first one out the box; had only about 3 weeks of rest and is smoking quite well. Famous lists them as full bodied but I'd say it's more of a medium full but with a pleasant amount of spice & pepper throughout.
Also smoked the Oliva Inferno 3rd Degree Toro last night, also 1st out of its box, but failed to get a pic, that one was definitely full bodied - less peppery but much more flavor. Will likely buy more of the 3rd degree in the future.

RP 1961 Robusto - tried kicking the evening off with one of these but was a total crash and burn...I bought 10 of these last year and each one has been worse than the previous...really tried to give them some time to rest and improve, but to no avail. Just a harsh, flavorless DUD. If this cigar started a band, it would be called "The Grateful Dud", and it would be a TERRIBLE band, with terrible fans that referred to themselves as "Dudheads". Do not buy this cigar, just cough up a little extra and buy the Royale or Sungrown Maduro instead.

Punch Siganture Robusto - thankfully this one rescued me from the Nineteen-Sixty-DUD. The Punch is a nice leathery medium full smoke, nothing particularly special but it's a nice stick at the end of the day.

Aladino Corojo Reserva - awesome full bodied corojo that is smoking splendidly with my black coffee this morning! Really cool story behind this cigar, but basically it's supposed to be reminiscent of cigars from the "golden age" era of the 50s & 60s but whatll I know for certain is that it's delicious!!
Probably my current favorite corojo blend, no need to smoke a Camacho Corojo when you could smoke these instead. :)

I hate that! It's fine when it works after 1 -2 pokes but it seems some cigars are born lost causes. Even worse when the poker it self causes damage; I had an Ashton ESG torpedo yesterday that had a really tight draw, 1 poke caused the wrapper & binder to split. :fl

Same here Chip - I can smoke Churchill's & Toros all day but I generally stay away from anything "Gordo". Usually seem too plagued by burn issues and excessively loose draws.

Yet another (and unfortunately my last) Eye of the Shark, was just as good as the first. An LFD Ligero, nice, but I prefer the Double Ligero to this one....
Oh and okay, next up both the Wise Man and the Gueguense, these were interesting- they both have garnered a lot of great reviews, I found the Wise Man (the maduro) to be spectacular, but wasn't all that impressed by the Gueguense.
And last, The Tabernacle! Believe anyone who tells you this is a great cigar, because it most certainly is. Basically everything I could want in a flavorful maduro. Plus, it also has a *very* unique spicy pepperyness to it. So unique in fact, that I think it would be pretty easy to pick it out in blind maduro taste test. (Other than being the tastiest maduro in the line up, haha.) So if you like Maduros, do yourself a favor and check out the Tabernacle asap!

It's an excellent cigar but they are also on the expensive side - and if I'm being completely honest, there are other Nicaraguan Maduros that can achieve a similar profile for much less.
That said it's definitely 5-pack worthy, but out of all of what I've tried by Foundation, the Tabernacle is what I'd pick as a "must try"!

Yeah the maduro is definitely awesome! Loved the red...and the blue...while nice, just wasn't as impressive as I expected. There was a lot of hype behind both and imo the blue just fell a little short. Still a nice smoke, but for that price I'd have liked it to really stand out a lot more.

However, I think I have 1-2 of the blue left, so I'll be giving them another look eventually, but as it stands - the Wise Man/red band is the only one of the two that I'd consider buying again. But just my :2 !

Hc Criollo Toro - nothing like a good Criollo imo. I love how they often start out with peppery, mineral & floral notes and eventually transition to a buttery-cocoa base towards the end. I've said it before and I'll say it again, more companies should consider experimenting with dedicated Criollo blends. :tu

AB Mundial # I forget - first time smoking this whipper-snapper and it's good! It was a ***** to get lit due to the extreme taper at the end but it's quite tasty once it gets going. Savory tobacco with a ton of spice, very enjoyable - but there are better cigars in the AB lineup imo.

Yeah you know, I've had a few different ABs in the past and I have to say, I've been impressed with every single one (especially the prensado!) It's in of those brands I've been meaning to check out more but seem to always put off in favor of other brands....but I plan to remedy that soon! :D

I found an _old_ box (ten years +) of Padron Delicias buried deep in a coolerdor.

Yellow/brown cellos on the remaining Padrons in the box--and the smoke was _very_ good and actually had a long finish (unusual in my experience with NCs).

I got them cheap from a website that is long defunct--can't remember the name.

A Tale of Two DPG Blues.

First up, the less aged toro date unknown but let’s go with 2017. The torpedo probably need to go back as far as 2014 given the band is starting to fade.

I will smoke the torpedo Friday.

I’m the past, DPG Blues rolled off in flavor as little as six months resting and became smoother with notes of wood and coffee. Fresh DPG Blues hammered me with pepper and espresso.

I expect the toro to be smooth with a mixture of wood and coffee. Let’s see how this goes.

God of Fire 2013 Carlito - another straggler left over from my last vacation. Generally speaking, God of Fires are very nice but they do not justify the price tag whatsoever, I've found this is the case with most extra premium cigars. I've had much nicer smokes by taking regular premium (or even some budget) cigars that I already know I like, and giving them at least a year in the humidor before smoking.
To my knowledge, the God of Fire offers two different wrappers, the Carlito and Don Carlos and for my money, the Don Carlos wrapper kicks the Carlito's butt. The Don Carlos offers much more complexity and seems to make the blend a touch stronger body wise.
That said, the Carlito is still nice and offers a lot in terms of a breakfast/first of the day cigar. Starts off with sweet hay/grassy notes (good grass not the bad kind) and transitions in to earthy, caramel notes with a touch of spice. Good stuff but will not be buying more of these unless I find them *heavily* discounted.

JFR Lunatic El Chiquito - felt adventurous this morning. Casa Fernandez Aganorsa Leaf Maduro Robusto - hands down my favorite maduro atm. Total in your face intense heavy pepper up front but has so many delicious notes under that pepper, eventually mellows to all those delicious savory chocolate & coffee notes...I need to buy another box soon to share with others (and so I don't have to crack open the box I already have stashed away!)

My Father Belicoso - I started this morning by lighting 1 of the PLPC's out of a box i recently acquired, in order to check and see where the box is at, and as expected, burned a little young. So I instead reached for the My Father and hot damn, I'm glad I did. Through and through just a spectacular cigar, never lets me down! If only the DPG Blues were this consistent. (Cue The Price is Right losing tuba and horns sound)

Hoyo AJF La Amistad Silver Churchill (wow that's a mouthful) - so I'd had the La Amistad Gold and black before, and honestly I wasn't particularly impressed with either...the black specifically just really didn't do much for me. This one on the other hand I like better than the other two...still, not among the best AJ has to offer so I doubt I'll be revisiting the La Amistad line again.

Gispert Intenso Toro BXP - decided to try something new today! Have been wanting to check this one out for a while after finding out it's blended by AJF. It's really nice, but not particularly unique in comparison to most of AJ's other stuff. Has that sharp buttery note that is in a lot of his stuff, but accompanied by a lot of spicy - black peppery notes. So while not necessarily anything new, it's another very nice specimen in AJ's portfolio. :tu
