Well guys, after lots of stress with my personal life things are settling down.
I've decided I need a change. I'm trying to change careers and locations, Corrections to Police and a different city.
Been trying to lose weight and gain some strength in the process. Been going to the gym at least 3 times a week. Cut sodas and switched to water. Got a nutrient blender and have started drinking smoothies as my after work meal. So far I'm down 16lbs in about 2 months. I can really feel the difference and my clothes are starting to fit looser. I'll keep updating as I progress.
I was at 245 when I started and now I'm down to 229. I'd like to be to 200 by the end of 2014 and eventually try to reach 180.

I need to do this. I work on call and am stuck on a train for 12 hours most days with no way to heat up food and sometimes no way to keep food cold. My diet is the worst. We have a gym membership out of town for a 24 hour place. I just need to kick myself into doing it. You seem to be on the right track. I just need diet and nutrition help for someone with an unpredictable schedule and lifestyle.

I was reading another thread about those ninja bullet smoothie making things. I am going to look into them.
