I was camping this weekend, so I tried several infused sticks since I was out with friends. My friends showed up with Swishers, and I put some Acids and Oliveros Apple Martini sticks in their hands...all enjoyed them much more than the cheap Swishers. Ugh those smelled like someone was smoking fruit rollups!

Friday I had an Oliveros Apple Martini, which was nice and sweet, but rolled too tight so it was like sucking through a phone book.

Saturday I broke out a Honey flavored stick I got at my local Binny's. But one smell out of the tube and I handed it off to someone who likes that sort of gummy sweet flavored stick. So I moved on to an ACID Cold Infusion Tea, which is a very long smoke to me. It was nice, mild, slightly sweet. Decent smoke.

Later Saturday night I followed up with an ACID Toast...which is exactly as the name describes...nice and slightly toasted flavor. But again, a bit too long of a smoke for me, so it got handed off to a friend who finished the second half of it, and really enjoyed it.

So far, every ACID I've had as been well rolled, easy to smoke, and not bad. But only the ACID One has really made my Must Buy Again list.

I liked the richness of it, but I find that some cigars seem to irritate the back of my throat and make the smoking experience...not that great for me. This was one of them.

I need to figure out what that is...because it made a really good smoke no fun for me...and it's happened once or twice before...always with darker wrapped cigars.

Last night I had a great smoking night, best in some time:

I started of watching a beautiful sunset by myself while smoking my first Illusione cg:4
(Really loved this cigar)
Then after dark I went to a neighbors house and burned a Tat Veruco #4 with a couple friends and our wives.
Great night for me, very relaxing and filled with good company!

Just finished a Pioneer Valley Maduro. Nice oily wrapper, great draw. Nice looking and well constructed. The burn started out a little uneven, but evened out toward the 1/2 way point. It started out medium, ended medium to full. Not a complex stick, but good flavor all the way through. My deck started spinning as I got to the last third and I'm still high as a kite. All in all, well worth the $5 bucks I just spent for the 5-pack.

I get that sometimes too, although it doesn't bother me that much. I enjoy spicy foods considerably and equate the feeling similarly in my mind. Not sure if that is what is considered "spice" in a cigar's description, as I am kind of a noob.

Seeing as how it has a dark wrap, and it a big cigar (I'm a short time smoker), I was expecting it to be too much for lil-ol me. But in fact, it was flavorfull...medium bodied I'd say, and had that typical ACID Infused flavor that people either love or hate.

Not my favorite ACID, but I think it made top 5 infused for me.

I've got about 35 sticks of the more rare ACID cigars coming this week that I'm splitting/sharing with friends. Hopefully I'll find others I like.

It started off smooth, but somewhat one dimensional, and I was a bit disappointed because of the high expectations I had for this smoke. As I hit the 1/3 point, the thing threw a curveball that started at my ear and hit the strike zone at my knees. It developed some very nice and deep flavors that I feel underqualified to attempt to describe, but nonetheless were very well accepted by my palate. These same flavors continued to grow as the smoke continued to shrink, and the coffee complemented them nicely.

Fonseca Arana Robusto. Nice stick, good construction and great draw. Medium at the beginning and extremely smooth. Got closer to full toward the 1/2 way point. The last third had some spiciness to it that I found very enjoyable. I scored a fiver of these for $5 and a box will be in my future at that price (they would still be a deal at twice that price). It stayed lit nicely when I let it sit for 5-10 minutes getting my kids ready for bed.

Smoking a Sancho Panza that I got from a bomb. This cigar is awesome. Smoking the robusto size, the Quixote. For under 50 bucks a box from CI, I will definitely be buying a box of these soon.

My only complaint is that the wrapper is coming apart where I cut it. And I didn't even cut it too far. Oh well, this cigar looked to have some age on it, so maybe it got a little dry at one point while I was storing it.
