San Lotano Habano Lancero

Okay, the first one I had was revolutionary, this one is nothing.
Purchased from a different B&M, I'm hoping these correct themselves after some rest. After being blown away with my first one, I am extremely underwhelmed right now. I must say the aroma pre & post light are amazingly fruity though, a better candle than a cigar tonight.

Someone bombed me with one of those Sancho Panzas. I enjoyed it so I went ahead and bought a box. For under 50 bucks for a box, I figured why not. I haven't smoked one yet since I got the box but I gave one to a friend and he smoked it last week and enjoyed it a lot. I hope you just got a bad one out of the bunch or hopefully I didn't get lucky and the one I had ending up being the only good one and the rest are gonna be gross.

Guess I'll have to wait and see until I smoke one again.

I took my first visit it a small, very local B&M today. I had just heard about it 3 days ago. I went in and he had just a small display case of, maybe, 20 boxes of cigars. 9 or 10 of them were Acids. I grabbed a few that I have had before and started to close the door. I turned my head to walk away and something caught my eye. I looked back, and in the back corner of the case was a full box of Gran Habano Zulus. I haven't seen one of these in person yet, just in pictures. I'm not 100% sure if they're hard to find or not, but nonetheless, I grabbed 2.

I lit one up in the lounge and oh man...it was great. :dr

The wrapper smelled really good, just a tiny bit of a barnyard. It wasn't earthy at all...I almost felt like it would be.

It was an awesome 2 hours of smoke -(P

smoked an LX2 Bam today when taking the roommate's dogs to the run with her. Spicy, woody, lots of nice tobacco flavor, but needed regular purging. We'll see if the next one fares better.

Few days ago at work smoked an Oliva G Churchill, Hoya Dark Sumatra and a lovely thing I've pictured here, the Joya de Nicaragua Antano Machito, one of my favorite cigars. Always a treat to smoke one of these little power houses.

Now that's a great picture! Even Nick Perdomo would approve!

On to tonight's cigar -

Particulares Torpedo - every now and then as I take the first few puffs on a cigar, the cigar surprises me with a blast of black pepper that sends me into a few sneezes.. Tonight is just such an occasion. Four hefty sneezes into this cigar and its tamed down just a hair but my sinuses are clear and I'm starting to taste wonderful Arganorsa Tobacco.

Not many more of these left in my collection but I still enjoy the rough spice and wood flavors plus the decongestant side effect is a nice bonus.

I smoked a Graycliff red label edicion limitada 2010 while running to pick up my venison this afternoon. It had wrapper issues the entire time, and as I was in my jeep I did not correct correct them at all. Despite that, the thing burned beautifully and put out a ton of smoke. It started out with a nice tobacco flavor and some nice pepper. The pepper went away after the first third and it hit me with great leathery tobacco flavor and med to full profile for the rest of the stick. I loved this cigar and wish that I had bought more than one (and not stored it in my herf a dor in my car, probably the reason for the wrapper issues.)

Ok, getting my flame suite on here. Yes, It's an infused cigar but it was really good. So good, I'm gonna attempt my first noob review.

This one was kept in a ziplock baggie with a water pillow. About 70% RH which I really enjoyed a lot so I think I may keep all of my sticks at 70% now.

Java mint

http://d3ms6wkmdg4jwt.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/java-mint2.jpg

This cigar smelled like cocoa before I lit it up.

When I lit it up, it had a nice deep chocolate/cocoa flavor. It was like a nice candy bar. As for the mint, It was almost non existant. If there was any mint flavor, it was a deep chocolaty mint that you had to try and taste.

http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/425100_10150580477062284_505322283_9304032_5019842 02_n.jpg

It had a tight white ash with a LOT of smoke. I'd say about 1.5 - 2 hours of smoke.

Almost no flavor, and would smoke like crazy at the lit end as per usual, but wouldn't draw any smoke at all, and just got scorching hot. :td I really like the smokes normally, I'm hoping it was just a dud and not a sign of quality going down already.

Yea, I've smoked probably 15-20 of them since release and this is the first one I've had a problem with other than coughing up a lung after accidentally inhaling some of the smoke that just spews out the end.

Had an Undercrown Toro that was just flat out bad last night. Almost no flavor, and would smoke like crazy at the lit end as per usual, but wouldn't draw any smoke at all, and just got scorching hot. :td I really like the smokes normally, I'm hoping it was just a dud and not a sign of quality going down already.

Followed up with a 1989 by Nestor Miranda Toro from my trade with Mickey. FANTASTIC smoke. Hadn't heard much about them so I went in with no expectations and was blown away.

Thank God its Saturday for me as I am in the mood for a multitude of cigars today. La Sirena to start my day and Alex Bradley factory selects #2 after dinner as a pre concert desert.:noon

You going to VH?

Krazy week; haven't had a smoke since Sunday.
Squeezing in a Short Story before I get another call to run back to the jobsite.
Let's hope this one goes uninterrupted.

Sorry about your Undercrown experience, I have had 2 and they knocked my socks off with flavor.

Hey that's 5 for 5 on the trade :wo I haven't had one of the 1989's so I am glad they are good :tu

Nice and nutty, which I haven't had in awhile, so it was a much welcomed change of pace. If the price is right on these, they could become a staple in the humi when I finally upgrade.

Having so many of the Undercrowns in a row with absolutely no problems got me a little hopeful thinking they could be the next Padron X000s. I'm not too disappointed, but now I know that there will be a dud or two per box. And as I'm typing this I just realized, that was the first one I've bought from somewhere other than Empire. Grabbed it while back home, may have had something to do with it.

How was it? I believe they advertise as the highest rated NC cigar ever.

Smoked a Tat Noella, must have had some age to it as it was not as much of a pepper bomb as the last one I had. Still had quite a bit of pepper to it, but it was very smooth and absolutely delicious.

I got a mystery package last night with 5 FFOX Perfecxions. The place I buy those from messed up my last order so they send me a fiver for free. I was pretty blown away. I am almost ashamed to admit, I smoked two of them last night. Just awesome.
wow. That sounds like a place I want to buy from. Who was it?

Just had a LP No.9 Toro. I think its safe to say these have jumped up past the PAM 64s as my second favorite regular production stick.

Followed up the LP with a Casa de Garcia Torp, yet again from the trade. Good stick, though the burn was off the whole way through. The nick in the wrapper probably didn't help much in that respect though.

Moved onto a carlos torano exodus 1959 and its all good in the flavour department but as usual the H200 wrapper is refusing to burn anywhere near evenly and to add insult to insanity theres a fairly large tunnel running down one side.

Love the flavours HATE THE CIGARS
