My buddy showed me the plans and mock up of the humidor he is building me, I wanted a coffin style and this is gonna be sweet. I have included a pic of just the general design that was pulled from the web so you get an idea.

Mine will be 18" long and 7" and the foot, will widen out to 13" and then back to 9" at the head and be 6" deep. All lined in spanish cedar. It will have a shelf in top half and should hold around 150 sticks give or take.

The body of the humi will be tiger maple with box joints at the head and foot, the outer part of the lid will be dark walnut and the top of the lid will again be tiger maple, he is going to wrap the top of the lid with angle iron to give it a rustic look, should be done in a week or two and I will get the pics up.

Just got the actual renderings of my new humidor, buddy is a little busy building some bookshelves for his mom so my humidor is a little behind schedule, oh well. Saw the drawings and it looks awesome!! I am going a bit bigger though now, gonna be about 2 feet long and 8 inches tall, 8 inches at the head, 10 inches at widest point and 6 inches at the foot. Looks just like an old school coffin with nice wood!!!

I like it, good idea. I have a feeling that Chingas is gonna keep an eye on this thread. I know he has a box, I believe it was bombed to him, that is in the shape of a coffin. It is an awesome piece. I cant wait to see your finished humi. :tu

It sounds like a nice humidor is on the horizon! I've never heard of a coffin humidor before. What are you going to store in there Skull and bones?

Here it is in clamps!!! This is 24" long, 12" at widest point, 9" at the head and 7" at the foot and 10" tall, I am guessing 300 or so sticks!!!
