Hopefully he'll get picked up by a team for a Playoff run....

Chelios said he will only do it if he is top 6, he doesn't want to be a part-time player when he gets 20+ minutes icetime per game with the AHL Wolves...but I am with you, hope someone can use him. :tu

Growing up in Milwaukee, I've always hated the Wolves (back in the IHL days). Someone needs to bring Chelios back up to the NHL so he doesn't have to wear one of those jerseys anymore haha.

Although I'm sure people like being able to see him play again in Chicago.

Chris Chelios is headed back to the show.

The 48-year-old defenseman, a three-time Norris Trophy winner, has been called up by the Atlanta Thrashers, general manager Don Waddell told ESPN.com on Wednesday.

"Can't wait. Got to make the most out of this chance," Chelios said in a text message to ESPN.com.

Chelios had 22 points (5 goals, 17 assists) in 46 games with the AHL's Chicago Wolves this season. He signed an NHL deal with the Thrashers on March 2. The Wolves are Atlanta's primary AHL affiliate.

I'm glad he's back in the game. His heart is as big as it gets. I had the pleasure of watching him win his 2 cups with Detroit.

An all-time great player...

48 and playing NHL Hockey. I'm 47... and my idea of a workout involves cutting and lighting a cigar and doing 12 oz. pull-ups. :D
