This will be a difficult series for the Yankees. They have always had trouble beating the Angels and they will be putting a lot of pressure on Posada & Molina while behind the plate. Plus both team swept so they will have their rotation set up the same.

Well, it would not be the nightmare of Twins/Rockies for the ratings, but it would be close. Yanks/Dodgers would be 1st, Yanks/Phillies 2nd, Angels/Phillies 3rd (due to Phils defense of title and bi-coastal draw), which leaves an LA X 2 matchup dead last.

Imprimis, it's about money, as far as Fox is concerned. Murdock cannot live by Simpsons alone. Secundus, if it's about the two best teams, then it's what Fox wants - Yankees vs. Dodgers. :D

There is talk of the Yankees using a 3 man rotation for the ALCS.
snowy
10-15-2009, 06:14 PM
3 man rotation is the way to go if there are no rain outs. You don't know what you will get from Gaudin or Joba starting. Besides, with Joba in the pen CC only has to go maybe 5 good innings in game 4 and turn it over to the bullpen.
Yankees in 5. Yankees starting pitching is just as good as the Angel (especially with a 3 man rotation). Our bullpen is much deeper and better than the Angels and offense is just as good if not better than the Angels. Key is for the Yankee hitters to be patient and run up the pitch count against the Angel starters and get into their bullpen.

My first trip to the new ballpark too, really liked it! Yes it's not the "old ballpark," but they really did do a nice job of making a big place that felt pretty small. I could honestly say I didn't think there was a "bad" seat in the house. Only place I wouldn't want to seat would be with either foul pole in my line of sight, but any place else looked like a nice seat.
Have you been to the new ballpark yet?

I have to say that using stub hub, I've been very surprised at the "reasonable" pricing for playoff tickets. Keeping in mind (and now that I have been to the stadium) that there isn't a bad seat in the house.
If you can get ticks in the first couple rows of the terrace section, over the dugout for give or take a $100, it's a steal.
