Passed on the Infinium yesterday. @ $19.99/bottle it was a little too steep given some of the reviews I read.
Instead I picked up 6 more bottles of Lucky Basartd and a 6 pk of Victory Yakima Glory.

MikeyC...I felt I got suckered into buying it by the fancy presentation, the rolleyes was at myself.
Tried it last night...this stuff is the real deal...will be getting a few more bottles for sure. Excellent beer! However, it does worry me that the more we buy the ~$20 bottles, the more $20 bottles there will be.

Then I'm guilty as charged. I've bought 9 bottles of the Infinium so far and have 2 more on hold. Plan on bringing a couple home for Christmas and a few more for a new year's eve party the week after.
I really like it. It smells like beer but has a lighter fruity taste to it like you normally would get during the warmer months. I couldn't drink it all the time but its good for a change of pace or if your having drinks with people who normally don't like the bitter taste of beer. :2

Stock up if you like this beer. I understand they won't be making it again.
I hate to pay $20 for a bottle of beer but if they can charge a premium for a super premium spirit why not a super premium beer? I understand it took two years to develop this beer and it's not an easy beer to make so I don't mind paying a couple extra $'s.

9 bottles, wow lucky. I searched and came up with 4. I wish I could get some more but everyone in my area was limiting it to one bottle per customer and the other half of the places had no clue as to what I was talking about.

Got to know some people well at one shop in town. I had one reserved at said store and when I checked out they told me there was one more left if I wanted it. I was also on another list across town.

I didn't have any trouble finding a couple bottles, but it sold out pretty quickly. Did you try the beer finder on SamAdams.com? I used that the pinpoint my search. It tells you what stores received bottles.

Yup. Three Floyds Moloko Milk Stout. The DFH B'Brew just came in at a store in Hudson. We got a call from them that they got some (1 case). Limited to 1 bottle each. :( They also had DFH World Wide Stout, but it was $8.99/12 oz bottle, and just couldn't pull the trigger. I'm regretting that now. :(

I remember reading a release from Sam at DFH saying certain states on the "normal" release routes would not be getting the B-Brew, and I think I remember VA being on that list. Sorry you couldn't get any, the WWS didn't do much for me, but the B-Brew is fantastic. I've got one bottle cellared now, and would gladly buy more if I can find it.

This is my second bottle and i love it, i have heard several people who dont really care for it. It is different. I found it to start off sweet and almost carmel like with a creamy finsh with just a slight hoppy bitterness that balances the sweetness quite well. A friend of mine loves it so much he went out and bought every bottle he could find which was only about 10. The only place left in Buffalo that i can find it at is Village Beer Merchant.

After a few drinks Friday night I mistakenly listed my haul in the what beer are you enjoying thread...:al:sh
Anywho... some of it survived the evening:
Chimay White
Chimay Red
Chimay Blue
North Coast Old Stock Ale (2009 Reserve) 600ml
Old Raspy XII
2x Schlafly 20th Anniversary Vol 1 (Imperial Pilsner)
A growler of Schlafly Hop Harvest Ale
A cool Chimay set with a 11.2oz bottle of each Red, White, and Blue with a cool Chimay glass
and one other that I can't remember (I hate it when that happens)

I struck out on Hopslam this year. :( I'll take comfort in the fact that one of my DIPA homebrews was judged to be a "Hopslam clone" by the professional brewer who reviewed it, so I'll have to brew up another batch. :tu
Tony, I'd be interested in your thoughts on the Hoptimum. I had a bottle this weekend and was disappointed. It did have a nice, juicy hop character but was more grapefruity than I anticipated and not as balanced. I think Torpedo is a better beer. YMMV

****! That's a deal. They cost me $10.99 @ the brewery.
Yes, the 07's were good, very good. I had plenty of opportunity to taste them progressing through the years.
I can still get 08 if you are interested. That'll save you some wait time... like almost 2 years. :tu

WnB is my one of my favorite beers, I wish it was brewed year-round. I actually preferred this year's batch to FBS. I think I'll go chill one down right now.
I'm sure I posted this before but if you get a chance to get Terrapin Moo-Hoo Stout if you mix them 50-50 a Wake-n-Moo is delicious (especially if you then add a half shot of bourbon)

Not sure what you pay for W-n-B where you are. But Total Wine here had it on managers Special $8.95 a 4pk and I had a $1 off coupon. So good deal!

I've had the Bell's Double Cream. Good stuff. Unfortunately, the only Terrapin I've had was one I picked up at Total Wine in Orlando in Dec of 2009. They need to distribute up here, I think.

If it's still available, I'm picking up at least 2 sixers of hopslam on friday. If anyone wants any, let me know. Kind of expensive at $18/six pack, but it's truly a "tongue-bruiser" as described on the back of the bottle.

yes many times, it's actually the first stout i had outside of guiness a year or two ago and I haven't looked back. it's very easy to get a hold of up here in MA.
These are my next 3 to pick up (maybe next week): Goose Island Bourbon County 2009, Hoppin Frog BORIS, and The Lost Abbey Serpent Stout.

Great choices, when I was in Worcester last fall I was surprised by how much GIBCS 2009 I saw on the shelves. I bought one bottle to bring home and enjoyed it. The BORIS is great and the BORIS Barrel Aged is even better but its almost $16 a 22oz here so its a rare treat for me. Matt-n-GA shared his bottle of Serpent Stout with me and it was outstanding

We've had the Choklat, and Ashtonlady brought us a Creme Brulee last time she was over this way. I have to say that the C.B. REALLY smells like c.b. when our open the bottle and take a whiff. It's a quite interesting beer (and good).
