The first Boondock Saints was a masterpiece. I don't think the 2nd can be as good, but we will see. :)

That's the worry, isn't it! How can they match the first one?!? But I still want to see it!

I'm a lil sad to see that Agent Smecker isn't making a return, but his "protege" holds some promise. I'm tickled that Officer Greeley and the other cops are not only returning, but being played by the same actors.

I'm positively giddy with anticipation, but I'm trying to keep my expectations in check. Because let's face it, this movie has A LOT to live up to.

I agree. :) I'll definitely be watching this one and I've got good hopes for it. The first movie rocked! :banger

What makes you think that Agent Smecker isn't the "protege"? :tu

What happened to Sean Patrick Flanery's face? He doesn't even look the same.

The original is my wife's favorite movie. She even got her copy of the DVD signed by Ron Jeremy when he participated in a debate on **** addiction at one of the local colleges.

Okay, WTF happened to the original All Saints Day screenplay??

The one explaining the background of the McManus brothers???

Huh???

Don't get me wrong, I'll buy my ticket tomorrow, just for the fact of being able to sit in a theater and hear.....

And Shepherds we shall be

For thee, my Lord, for thee.

Power hath descended forth from Thy hand

Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands.

So we shall flow a river forth to Thee

And teeming with souls shall it ever be.

In Nomeni Patri

Et Fili

Spiritus Sancti

In a way I feel this movie is almost unnecessary. Well see.

I'm with you on that....I also had to read through the names at the end to make sure Rocco was going to be in it....

Agent Smecker = Protege?!?! The possibility never crossed my mind, but now the wheels are turning.

And I concur, Sean Patrick Flanery did not age well. Which makes me sad.

In a way I feel this movie is almost unnecessary. Well see.

Unnecessary?!?!?! blasphemer!!! :td

There are a lot of movies that are great on their own right and don't really need a sequel. At times it almost feels like a cheap way to make a buck. The last unnecessary movie I saw (for free thank god) was S. Darko which was the sequel to another cult classic Donnie Darko. It was just absolutely horrid and ranked a 0 on a scale of 1-10.

I do enjoy Boondock Saints, it's a good flick. I just have a bad feeling about this one. I do hope they pull it off and it's not a flop.

My sentiments exactly! Boondock Saints is in the top 5 of my all-time favorite movies and I've been waiting for II for a long time. Glad to see they're finally done. I will definitely see this.

If you watch the documentary Overnight about Troy Duffy you'll understand why this movie took ten years to get produced.

Can't wait!! My buddies and I watch the original every year before going out to the St. Paddy's Parade! Just a little something to get us primed!

We'll have to see about this one, with how good the first movie was doing as good if not better will be a real challenge. Hopefully it will live up to it's first installment. If not it will be like all other films that sequel to get money by having it's fans fill the seats only to let them down.

Looks decent, nothing special. I'm sure I'll watch it. BUT I doubt it will be anything like the first one.

It was here in Oneonta. They had Jeremy debating with a self-described **** addict. Jeremy is funny as hell.
