Got a chance to do some more work in the lounge finally.

Started by centering the support brackets on the shelf, they were driving me crazy by off centered:

Then I started staining the shelf. I took the idiotic way for a while, trying to tape off the shelf and carefully stain. This was exceptionally time consuming and stupid of me.

Got frustrated with that and just removed the second half of the shelf and stained it outside....took about 5 min, whereas the first half took me over an hour.

Finished staining

Then I had to decorate a bit! Put up all the custom labels I've made so far up.

Decided not to wait for putting on paint after all....wanted that ugly hole in my wall to go away. That being said, I think this turned out to be the best spackle job I've ever done. Working on this room is really teaching me how to better work on things:

I also put up some shelves...I've been trying to use some random junk that I've bought over the years and never put up in the house, for whatever reason. I put this one, and a matching one up across the room:

Thanks. I haven't had an opportunity to do any work in here recently and it's driving me crazy. I guess I need to stop smoking cigars and making beer during all my free time and do some actual work here.
