From Famous Smoke Shop: Pinar Del Río Habano Sun-Grown cigars showcase a blend of extra-long-aged Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos with a lush, oily, Dominican-grown Habano leaf - like the deep, red-brown wrappers grown in Pinar Del Río, Cuba - that laces the palate with rich flavor. Cigar Press wrote: "Medium to full in body and rich, creamy aroma, with a lot of spice in the nose. Complex. Excellent smoking cigar." Discover these outstanding premium cigars created by Abe Flores and Juan Rodriguez today.

Pre-Light: These are beautiful cigars, rolled with a reddish brown habano sun grown leaf. The wrapper is mostly matte, with a slight oily gleam and a few veins, but the seams are flat and tight. It feels full in the hand and well packed. The cold draw is right on, leaving some spice on the lips.

Light & Burn: Easy to light, this robuto burns well, with a solid light colored ash that clings tightly and falls in 1" pillows. It burns pretty slowly -- it smoked for about an hour -- pumping out a good volume of smoke. The burn line was generally straight, with some wobbling, but no relights necessary.

Construction: The construction of this cigar is first-rate. The wrapper just looks tasty. It's solid and well filled with rich, flavorful tobacco, yet the draw is just right, with a little tug of resistance. The cap is nicely applied -- I've sliced some and punched others, with no problems either way. Overall, the construction is quite high.

Flavor: The first tastes of this cigar brought a rush of warm spice, blending red and black pepper with leather and cedar.

In the middle stage, the spice mellows out but never disappears completely. It's joined by other flavors -- cream and leather and cocoa and coffee. It's moderately complex, as these flavors come and go. The smoke is thick and rich, medium-full in body, with a relatively dry finish, but some occasional sweet notes.

The last third marks the return of spice, and leather, and wood, and black coffee, and some dark sweetness, like caramel or molasses. It's still very smooth, no harshness to speak of.

Overall: A rich, flavorful medium-full robusto. The warm spice is balanced wtih leather, wood, cream, and some sweetness, making the smoke very satisfying. Plan to smoke this one to the nub, and keep some in your humidor.
