I've never had an original Padron I have enjoyed. The high end ones are great, but the X000 and originals are not great. The natural wrapper just gives me a cheesy bread flavor, makes my stomach churn thinking about it and I've tried 4 of them! The maduro just tastes like burning tobacco, no coffee or chocolate to me, except in the Ambassador size, which were pretty good.

I don't think it is fair to expect the same quality of a x000 and an anniversary...

In a way it is fair...because when I used to smoke padrons, I would rather smoke a padron 3000 or padron 5000 as opposed to an anniversary...why you ask?
because the padron 3000's and 5000's dollar for dollar were a much better value...of course that was then...several years ago

I haven't smoked any of the Thousand series lately but, I sure miss those Fumas they used to make. They were Cheap and full of that Classic Padron Flavor.

I never smoke a stick from a B&M until it sits for a week or more, most keep ther sticks waaaaaaaaaaay to wet. I find I like mine at 65% or less (closer to 60%) when above that they have burn problems and taste like crap. The Padron 1000 series is one if the most consistant out there and I've probably smoked 2 dozen boxes with no issues.

Sorry you had problems may the cigar fairy bring you many good ones in the near future.
