We quoted a customer on creating an Accutron-like replica like they wore in Battlestar Galactica in the early 80's. Much cooler than the Casio and originals sell for good price. There was a lot tooling, as well as desining & manufacturing circuit board and buttons. To make the whole watch in CH and be 100% Swiss Made was a fairly big investment (around 400K for the first 1000 watches). The watch would have $1.5-2K retail price in SS.

Anyone intersted and picking up where our customer left off, please PM me.

This is an awesome thread! I have a few watches myself. I will have to get some pictures posted on here.

I just got this back a customer's watch from service. It's a gold Zenith power reserve manual wind. The movement is really nice and it's pretty accurate now (shameless plug)

Looks pretty expensive and gentleman-like. Very classy piece.

Another joker with absolutely no sense of who I am. For the record, my dialy wearer is an SS Invicta Chrono, $100 when new, ideal for knocking around without worrying about scratches and such.

While it's liable to change in a week (as usual) I think I have figured out my next watch, probably for this summer

a Breitling SuperOcean Steel Fish with a black rubber strap. I tried one on today and it looked and felt great, and they're not too bad price-wise. Anyone have one of these or can offer an opinion?

Thanks

tried on the steelfish Xplus with rubber strap, felt good. Diameter pushed the limits of being too small (for my big wrist). sharp looking watch regardless! You'll be happy!

see, it pushes the limits of being to big for my small wrist, but it still felt good, and I actually liked the bigger size.

I just need some dough (a job) to materialize over the next few months
