SPC Deception Pass last night. I like it but I don't feel like I've had enough to give a proper review.

How do you prep this kake? Do you pack in small/medium chunks? Or do you flake it all out to fine pieces and then pack?

It comes in a can already rubbed out. It is a bit too wet in the can so I put the open can in the fridge for a day or two. It is very yummy on the dry side and a real pain if on the moist side.

Rich, I've never purchased Anni Kake in the tin, so I do not know of the contents once it is opened and so forth. I can tell you that I purchase Anni Kake in bulk. Upon arrival, there are generally broken chunks from the kake (some small and some medium size), with loose leaf mixed in. The moisture content from my purchases over the years (in bulk form) has generally been mild to medium (nothing to write home about). Just pack it in your bowl and give it a good char, kick back and enjoy

And, as Bill has mentioned ------>

Thanks for the advice folks. The Kake I have is bulk and pressed in a mostly solid chunk. I've been flaking it out pretty fine. Which sometimes causes the bowl pack to be too tight.

I think next time I will let it dry out a bit and leave in bigger pieces.

Thanks again gents.

yea even the stuff in the tin is kinda coarse. I just leave it that way. If you crumble it too much it will turn to light dust it seems and unusable. at least to me. Might make snuff then! yuk.

Following the UCLA victory this evening over BYU, I decided to head out to the patio and enjoyed a bowl of MATCH Walnut in the meerschaum. Nice stuff
