I have actually stopped running mine, after a while got a little condensation in it, not enough to ruin anything I caught it in time, I ended up just unplugging it and it has been perfect ever since, I might actually disconnect the cooling unit and plug it back in just for the lighting effects.

I also dumped another 2 pounds of beads in it, huge difference. Just like "always buy bigger than you think you need", always put more beads in than you think you need.

I ran mine for years and recently the board went out on me. I was too lazy to fix it for a few months and realized that My cigars smoked a lot better and the humidity recovered much faster after standing there with the door open with a dumb look on my face trying to decide what to smoke for 10 mins.

I never really had any humidity issues while it was plugged in but i could tell the affect the fans blowing 24/7 had on my smokes. Now I have 1 cpu fan blowing at 3 volts (barely moving) just to keep the humidity moving a bit and couldn't be happier.

Adam, how many total pounds of beads do you have in there now?

Just added more beads, so about 4lbs, on the bottom I put them in a shallow cigar box bottom so the depth of the beads is right under 2 inches, it's about even top and bottom 2lbs and 2lbs.

I just sealed all the joints on my crappy end table humidor, so those sticks are in a coleman for now, but that will be about 4 or 5 pounds of beads as well as soon as it airs out.

I was looking at purchasing the 18 bottle model. How do you like yours so far? Quality good?

I will check it out go re-measure . I was thinking 10"x11.5'' was largest that would fit .I could be wrong.

Oh ya the 18 bottle is a bit smaller, my bad.

Holy crap ... 900 dollars? I think the price of my winador just went up...

I just saw that my ImageShack account is not working since it is not a PAID image hosting website (BS) and they do not show up here looks like.

Kinda kills my thread due to this ... sucks cause I never saved those pics they are just in that ImageShack account.

I do see on one of the other cigar forum sight my thread that is basically the same and all the pics are working somehow.

If anyone has any questions about any of this let me know I am more then happy to help.

Here is a pic of my unit when I had finished it (it's pretty empty now but still looks the same) .........

Just wanted to give an update.
First, many many thanks to Falconman for this thread.
Now, just after one year after buying the NewAir, its shot, and no warranty. The temp will not stay at 66F but will drop or change to 50 and start cooling. I have disconnected it. When called they want me to send it back to them for repair. Really?
I would advise folks to buy from Costco or other better ones.

Chris... We can't thank you enough for the steps you have provided us on your Wineador build. You have pushed me over the edge too and I'm completing my Wineador build as well.

PM sent.

Well I am back again ... figured I would rehash my old build thread.

Heck maybe now my set-up is old-school who knows

Seems my pictures are still here but for some reason Massively huge.

Cooler is still running fine years later.

Just bought a large sampler from Brooks as this cooler is bone dry.

Just got the trays re-seasoned and the level good ready for some new sticks.

Hope this thread helped many make the move to a wineador.

Anyway thanks.

Thanks brother .... Now I just need to start buying a few thing again to put some stick in my cooler.

It's been empty now for about a year.

Haven't smoked a good cigar in over a year.

It's sad opening this thing and pulling out all 7 trays and only seeing a 5 Vegas, a DPG and some dog rockets!

Just waiting for some good sampler to pop up somewhere for a good price now.

Glad I could help.

My NewAir wineador is still running strong!!!

I know a few people had issues after a couple years but this thing just works like a charm summer after summer when I need it to keep the temps down.

Glad the thread has helped.
