This morning the Comoys is having another go on the screened porch. The sky is blue and the temp at 70* should make for a nice outing. I picked up the Drew Estates 7th avenue blonde because I want to like it. It smells nice in the tin. We shall see what the French made new favorite pipe can do!

I like French pipes. Most of mine are. I like their classic shapes and that they're usually pretty light.

The Comoys is lighter than the Boswells I am used to that is sure. I usually like bigger bowls and heavier pipes. The Comoys bowl is the size of a small egg in your hand.

This a first for the French made (English company) offerings for me and I like them so far!

My H&H Anniversary kake is on backorder so I am smoking whatever else I have. The Boswell is loaded with the sheepdog mix (autumn Evening/1q/BCA) for my mid day pipe.

See, I like to clench and light pipes are just more comfy. I'm a total noob, myself and I've had few problems with french pipes, so far. Just one really; a Chacom Alpina 28 with loose trim bands on the stem. I'm having them replaced with tortoise acrylic and the stem bent to a ¼ bend. Smokes great, though.

I haven't had any motivation to roast the 9 lbs of coffee I still have. I need to do some roasting. Maybe tomorrow!

How is the peruvian coffee? I'm not sure I've ever had any.

Taste darn good Brian! FC+ roast and medium-heavy body. I haven't had the time to roast as well, so, I purchased a 24oz/26oz bag from Cost Plus for $9.99. Good deal for that amount of roasted whole coffee. They also have same in 12oz/14oz bags too...

Thanks! It's a great smoker, too. I think I'm gonna dedicate this one to aro's, ones with additives, anyway.

Lovely pipe! I learned along the way that aromatics kake quicker in new pipes. Most of what I have is aros anyway. This morning was C&D berries n cream in a Boswell big bowl then just now the Butz-Choquin Calabash had some C&D Autumn Evening. I am really getting to like it. Have not had any Anniversary yet. New stash of it just came in yesterday and probably needs some drying. It's now 55* and clear blue sunny skies here! I am spending a lot of time on the screen porch piping today while doing some laundry. Lucky me- more piping coming up!

Thanks! It sounds like you're having a great day; it's 13º with a wind chill of -2º here. Most of what I have are English and crossovers with a couple of true aro's and a couple of Virginias.
