Default Casa Fuente Question

I am heading to Vegas for Big Smoke in November and planned to spend some time at Casa Fuente. I have been to Casa Fuente several times and have always enjoyed sitting out in the patio area doing some people watching while smoking a cigar and drinking a mojito.

I just read some recent Yelp reviews that mention that you cannot smoke in the patio area anymore. Is this true? If so, I can't see how there would be that much room inside to smoke. If I remember correctly, there is just the bar area to sit inside.

Can anyone give me information on the patio or smoking changes for Casa Fuente? I would be really disappointed if you cannot smoke on the patio area anymore.

I was not able to smoke on the patio in April of this year, but I've heard that they have a deal to allow it during Big Smoke and IPCPR each year.

According to this post from July, they were smoking on the patio again.

But, why not just call the shop and ask so you can eliminate the doubt?

Smoking was definitely allowed on the patio during IPCPR.

I was hoping that someone might have the answer real quick, but since it seems to be in doubt, I will call them today and report back here.

Just talked to Colt at Casa Fuente, and this is the "official" word:

1. Patio is now generally closed to smoking. You can drink out there, but not smoke cigars.

2. Patio will be open for smoking during Big Smoke event, but not other times.

3. They plan to enclose the patio area for smoking, but construction for that cannot start until after the new year. I did not get a time table for when it might be done.

Overall- good and bad news.

Get what you want to smoke and head over to the Rum Bar at the Mirage. Same owners and huge outdoor patio.

After looking around for other spots, I have to agree with Rhum Bar. I have never been there, but it does sound like a good place to hang out. It looks like the sitting area is outside. So long as it is not too hot it should be good. Time to look up the average temperatures in Vegas in early November.....

I like Rhumbar during the afternoon. In the evening it gets very crowded and with very loud music. I don't hate loud music but it does make it difficult to talk with your buddies.
