Just finished The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown, so I thought I'd stick with the theme and started reading The Last Templar by Raymond Khoury. Pretty good so far, a little farther than halfway through.

Just finished As They See 'Em: A Fan's Travels in the Land of Umpires" by Bruce Weber. Great book. If you are a baseball fan, read it.

In the queue:

Good to Great by Jim Collins
The Odyssey by Homer

I'm all over the place.

I just started this book tonight. Author's name is James M. McPherson. At 904 pages, it certainly is a tome. I don't know that it's fair to call it, 'long and drawn out,' though. Shelby Foote's, The Civil War: A Narrative is 2,968 pages! Now that one's going to require a few more cigars! Coronas gigantes or similar!

Battle Cry of Freedom won McPherson a Pulitzer Prize in 1989 so I'm expecting it to be amaaazing. What did you think of it, Scott?
