Default Perdomo Lot 23 - Robusto

Brand: Perdomo
Line: Lot 23
Size: Robusto 5" x 50
Origin: Nicaragua (Puro)

Appearance, Touch and Aroma
Gladly do so because this is a beautiful cigar, Colorado Claro coloured. Another remark on the wrapper are the medium to small veins. The band is ... debatable on the large side but I believe it looks good, illustrating Lot 23 of which most this cigar's tobacco originates from, Estelli Nicaragua. I didn't find any hard or soft spots; instead, a firm and even construction. This cigar is filled well with tobacco, adding some weight which contributes to a hefty touch, very nice. The aroma reminds me of fresh hay and sweet straw ... so beautiful and I haven't even lit the cigar yet!

Cut and Light
Right of the bet my nose is able to tell you how much pepper got injected into them! A lot of pepper which quickly reduces to a suitable level throughout the entire cigar, just like the raisin sweetness. Getting back to the taste sensation. Dry cedar wood, soil and that sweetness ... combined it reminds me of a light caramel tone. The finish is cappuccino like with leathery nuances.

In the second part the flavours mature and become medium to full bodied. Leather, raisins, flavourful soil, nuts and pepper are balanced well in a very creamy smoke, it's almost buttery. I found the overall complexity to be good. This beautiful palate seems to get somewhat toasted in the third part.

Conclusion
I found this to be a truly lovely cigar and think I might add the Perdomo Lot 23 as a new favourite of mine ... priced friendly too! The ash is not to firm at just an Inch, the draw is flawless and the burn was sideways at one point but self-correcting. Box purchase? Yep.

Appearance: 8.5/10
Construction: 9/10
Burn: 7/10
Draw: 9/10
Ash: 7/10
Taste part 1: 8/10
Taste part 2: 2: 8.5/10
Taste part 3: 8/10
