Damnit! I used to rock that big time haha, No clue how to replay it now a days if the rules have changed, But I still have one hell of a selection of cards, and some decks I have still put together.. Good times and countless hours and dollars well gone lol

I played back in 5th and 6th grade

I was really into it. I had complete sets of a few of the editions. Sold them at a card show in high school. I do still have some lying around somewhere. No one can stop Archangel. A 5/5 flying and you got +2 health for everytime it was attacked or something like that.

I played through 4th Edition and then quit until late last year when a buddy was in town and discovered my Alpha cards while looking for something in my garage. We made some decks and had too much fun, so we bought some of the new boxes and have been running occasional mini-drafts with a few other cigar-smoking friends. Great way to kill a Saturday

The general thing you're talking about is called Elder Dragon Highlander, a variant that sounds interesting but that I've not tried. http://www.dragonhighlander.net/rules.php

Started when 7th came out, and stopped for a while. Recently started collecting 8th edition since the boosters are so cheap.

I also tend to read a lot of fantasy, so I guess that explains the draw for me.
