Kinda the same here. I had nylon one from a local store. Just didn't like it.

Going to pick up my CW45 this afternoon from my FFL.

Now I just need my holster to come in and to pick up some ammo to run thru her to break her in.

I chose it because it's semi rigid, and it wasn't too $$

I prefer nylon to leather. This one doesnt give under the weight of a holster/gun. A sturdy belt also helps reduce the felt weight of the gun. If the belt is giving under the weight of the gun it doesn't distribute the weight as well and the gun FEELS heavier.

Just double checked, my belt is 1.5" not 1.25"
Here's the one i got http://www.511tactical.com/All-Produ...-Belt-1-5.html

Yep. Holster still has to pull down on something. If you have sturdy belt already you can use that. The only belt I really wore before this one was a 1" woven leather belt that was flimsy as they come.

I use this belt,

http://www.bullhidebelts.com/BullBelts_ep_41-1.html

Ive picked up a few at the gunshow's a lot cheaper than they show online. They are nice and rigid and thick. The only down side to them is that the thickness can vary from thick to to thick for some holsters depending on the belt system that your using.

Looks like folks are paying as much as $100 for Armalite AR 10 mags.
I called Armalite around two weeks ago, ordered four 2/20 and 2/25 as limit of two, and just learned they shipped yesterday, at $35 v the $100.
Folks freak out, lose patience and common sense, hence lunacy of pricing.

People are trying to get them before a ban comes out. It wont do them any good if they're still on order when a ban comes around.

Yep

I saw a vendor taking orders for stripped lower receivers. They guesestimated 3 months to pass said ban and then a 90 day notice would be issued that would then halt production. My guess is anything ordered that could not be produced within that 90 days could not be filled, regardless of whether the order was placed before the ban went into effect.

depends also on the flavor of the ban. Some bans terms state that the sale/transfer after the ban date is illegal. So if I have a pre-ban 30rd mag, I can't sell it to you. At least not on an open forum

2. Get fingerprinted and then have the Sheriff or Police Chief sign off on your Form 1.

I'm going route 1 to avoid the hassle of route 2. The signature is really only supposed to be the CLEO saying that they know no reason why you would use the NFA item for illegal purposes. But most use it as a way to just be a dick and depending on the CLEO they may deny or approve however they like. You can also have a judge sign instead but unfortunately the only really gun friendly judge we had got voted out of office this time.

Some people pay big $ and set up a trust through a lawyer who knows NFA very well. Most use quicken willmaker plus 2009 to do it cuz it's cheap/free. Just make sure you get the 2009 or older edition as the 2010 and newer don't do trusts.
It's important that you check into your state laws however. That used to work here in Ohio, but recently the laws changed so that it all but requires a lawyer if you want to get the nuance right without risking jail time...

Some GOOD news regarding the future prices of firearms.
No politics here, I'm being good , just a news report about what's happening in Washington that will affect our gun prices.
