Default Rocky Patel Edge

Edge maduro. Used to love these about 5or so years back. Very short review here! First inch was very good. Draw, burn, taste nice. After that, not so much. Actually, as it went further, it went downhill fast. Put it ut of it's misery at about half way. What was I thinking???

Interesting. Do you think it was the stick or your palette? I periodically pick up one of these and while I have no great expectations, I still like them.

I have smoked 10 or 15 of these in the past and always enjoyed them, thanks for the review.

A buddy of mine swears by these. They are one of his go-to sticks. I never developed a taste for them. Everyone's palate is different.

Plus, I have noticed that my palate has changed over the years. I used to love HDM Excaliburs. I can't stand them now. These days I'm enjoying Hemingways and VSGs. So things change.

Smoked A RP 1961 The Other Day.. Like You Said, Palates Change. I Don't Like Any RP Cigars, Now, To Be Honest. My Golfing Buddy Only Smokes RP Connecticuts, Though, & Loves Them.

The original release was a great tasting cigar. They never seemed to be the same after a year or so. Then again, maybe my palate changed. I haven't had a rocky patel in quite awhile....

The Nica version (blue band) blows the others out of the water, imo.

They sucked after the original release. He worked on quantity instead of quality.

I've noticed a change in them as well. Smoked quite a few in the past. Now they're hard to smoke over half of one.

The Edge is one of my go-to's. I will have to be a bit more aware, because I have never had that experience with these at any level. And the maduro is my favorite of the line. (In fact--I have a few warming up, and now I'm salivating.)

THIS! He's almost as bad as Gurkha. His cronies that show up at store events are jerks too. They open multiple identical boxes and force the shop to buy them.
