I was pretty impressed. They left out a lot. But they had to and they did it cleanly enough.

i agree. book was better. the movie would have been 5 plus hours.

Shutter Island. It was good, then lost me in the middle, then good again at the end. There was some cigar smoking in it so I rushed on over to the Cigars in Cinema thread, but it was already listed. That was a little disappointing, a bit like the movie.
