DishNet users??

I have a question. How many times does your receiver update per day? I have two receivers. One standard digital and the other HD. The HD receiver works fine, but the standard receiver updates sometimes 8 times per day. You know, aquiring sattellite then update program guide. Also, it will on occasion, freeze and the whole process starts over. Just wondering if this is normal or maybe my receiver needs to be replaced. It is 6 years old.

thats about the same age as our standard def receiver and we have the same thing but not every day it will go nuts then be fine a couple days then go nuts again
