Default Ideal sized traveldor

I am in the market for a traveldor and I wanted to hear opinions on what size others prefer.

I was looking at either the 15 or 40 count cigar caddy (I missed the group buy )

Thoughts?

I love the size of the one in the group buy. I keep it in my car and when we go away for a long vacation I can take the foam out and probably carry 100 cigars in it

I much prefer the 18-24 count that is in between the two. It has a handle and pressure release like the 40.

I like my 30 count. It has proven to be more than enough for out of town trips and herfs. When I take the foam out, it fits many more sticks.

If I go on vacation for 10 days I take around 20 cigars and buy a few where ever we go.

I have many different cases/traveldors - the only two I seem to use though are the 5-count CigarCaddy and a Pelican Mini-D case, it's about the same size as the 40 counts with the lift out trays but only has foam top/bottom/sides so it holds probably about 60 or so cigars.

The 5 count is small, compact and lets me carry enough cigars for the times when I'm not going to smoke much and with 5 in there, I can still provide a cigar or two for someone else.

The large one is the herf traveldor, plenty of capacity to allow myself many options on cigars, plus cigars to trade and give away. Plus I can throw my lighers, cutters, draw tools and whatever other crap I want to bring along in there.

The size of the traveldor needed would depend on both your smoking and the time you need to supply. Also, do you intend to bring smokes for others?

For herfs I like a larger one so I can bring smokes to share. So if only one can be purchased a 40ct would be my choice. But in reality I have 3ct, 15ct, 48ct and a large Pelican case than can hold 100. I use them all regularly.

I realize, in a few years, I will probably have a smaller one and a larger one. Today, though, I will probably be going with a humidor with a handle.

Thanks for all the info, all.

I have a 15 count and it never seems to be enough even without the foam. I wish I would have bought a larger one to start off.

I have a 2 cigar leather case which really only fits one that I carry to work also have a 3 cigar plastic case that I'll load up if I'm going out. When I go on trips I take my 15 count one that seems to be more than enough to supply me with 4 or 5 days worth of smokes. Also just picked up a 6 stick case in case I need a few extra.

I have a xikar 50count, 15, 2x10s and a 5. I prefer my 50because of its handle and that it will accept a normal padlock.
