Default Cuban Crafters Perfect Cutter

My Palio needs to be returned, again. I need a good cutter to have on hand while I wait for mailing out the Palio and waiting for the return of a new one. I was looking at the CC Perfect Cutter. Has anyone used them and are they well made and work as described? Thanks in advance.

I've heard GREAT things about them but I've never used one. Personally, I'd pay the extra $4 for a Xikar X8 because I love mine and would buy a backup(in case I lost one) before I bought anything else.

Or you can take Adam up on his generous offer!!!! Great job Adam, this kind of generosity is what makes this hobby great.

I have a Black-Ops guillotine cutter that is the same basic principle without the hole for torpedos. It does give a very consistent cut depth from stick to stick. My skill with a guillotine cutter is pretty limited, so I'll take all the help I can get. That said, I've pretty much defaulted to punch on larger ring gauges, and v-notch on smaller.

I have that cutter as well but the CC one works better.

These are great cutters, and like Xikar they have a lifetime warranty as well, I have 2 of these and if Adam's offer is not this cutter I can also gladly send you one as well.

I have one of the CC cutters as well. I've been using it on and off for years and it's sharp as a razor. I like the back stop in the cutter. It prevents my less cigar savy friends from cutting their cigar in half instead of just clipping the cap.

Love my CC cutter. It's my go-to, especially for torpedos.

Great cutter; my second-favorite after the Palio. I've gifted several of these and it's always nice to hear from folks still using them or who had them replaced at no charge by CC when they finally dulled.

Some of the newer ones are pretty slick-looking, too.

No doubt the CC cutters are sharper and likely constructed better... just commenting on the general premise of the pre-measured cut depth.

I've been considering purchasing one, as well. Some solid feedback in this thread.

I love mine. If I'm camping or in a dimly lit place it makes things simple. It's sharp, well made.

I have been using mine lately and I have to say it doesn't cut as well as my Palio. It seems to require more force to cut with it but it does cut clean.

I had that problem with the $5 one, I have upgraded to the $15 Stainless Steel and have not had a problem at all.

I love both of my Cuban Crafters. I have one of the older-style ones, as well as one of the newer style. Both cut perfectly. I've found myself using my Palio as my backup, and carrying the CC everywhere. Plus, if I lose it, it was under $10 shipped on eBay, vs. whatever I paid for the Palio.

I own both versions of the perfect cutters. I absolutely love the original version of the cutter. The size is unfortunate, but it cuts great. The second version is nice for larger cigars but because of the new design I can never seem to get as good of a cut with it, it's much more tricky. I use my Palio the most these days though.
