It's early and I'm still catching up on DVR... But love the way the Avs are playing and MacKinnon can FLY! Varlamov looks great, which is better than looking good....

Great performance by the Avs, they looked great, E.J.

To each is own though....to me, Roy's fire is a liitle dab of douchiness.

Yea...one of those love him or hate him guys.... He's my man, so his antics ring true....but I can understand that.

That said, the Avs need(ed) toughness and he's not going to skate a soft team. Top down....

Hoping the Avs stay in the mix this season, they're a fun young team to watch.

The Avs looked great last night! In case anyone did not see, there was a knee on knee hit to MacKinnon and with a few seconds left in the game, the Ducks sent out their 4th line so to me I think Roy's response was to those incidents and I don't blame him for getting upset on a hit to one of his players. Love him or hate him Roy does have a certain style all his own and I like his passion which was so badly needed for this team *cough* Sacco *cough*

Can't decide if they take after their fans or the fans take after them. That being said, having dated someone from Vancouver, I've never in my life seen a bigger group of bandwagon fans, worse than when the RedSox won it all in 2004, the never year every God damn college student in Boston was a "die hard RedSox fan" ... it was enough to make you puke.

I'm with you. Datsyuk is the best all around player in the league.

Two words.

Jonathan Toews.

That is all.

It feels kind of weird for me to watch Flyers games...I'm only watching because I have a huge mancrush of Vincent Lecavalier (followed him from CA to draft to Tampa). I am probably his number #1.

...go Fly...ers??? I feel so dirty...

I feel ya, Marc, I am rooting for Ray Emery to have a good season, and for Scott Hartnell to get lupus.

I'm interested to see how Emery does without the Blackhawks defense in front of him...

As for Hartnell, I'll admit he can, at times, come across as an asshat, but he plays the agitator roll well while playing a productive game. Reports are he came into the season in way better shape than any year prior (something like 7% lower body fat % than ever before), so I'm hoping that translates into a more consistent year.
