Default Don Louis Robusto (Lianos Dos Palmas)

So in early 2004 I visited a small shop in Charleston SC called Havacigar. The kind of place that rolls their own. I bought some Nicaraguan puros and was very impressed at the time of the service. One of the owners Maria I think hooked me up with 5 free cigars to go with my bundle. I really liked the Nic's and smoked them quick bombing a lot out. The place is best known for their Dominican cigars.
Flash forward to now and I'm hooked on Dominican puros, so I called up Scott the owner and ordered a blind bundle of mixed Dominican puros.

Don Louis
Size- Robustoish 5X52 I think
Dominican Puro is all I know

Great construction and very nice wrapper. I can see some ligero in the foot.
Lights easily and the smoke starts off with some very nice sweet and woody flavors. This cigar is somewhat complex as I am getting some flavors I have not had before, honey wood type thing. The spice builds up as the cigar progresses and is no where near what the fashionable sense of the word spice is today.
It has been a loooooong time since I have gotten a nicotine buzz from a cigar but I am feeling it in my head and body right now. The burn is just about perfect. And towards the last 3rd I am still getting a nice mix of sweetness like clean sugar and some spice. It lasted me about an hour and a half, never got hot or harsh.

I have to say I have been looking forward to this cigar immensely since I placed the order and was stoked when I saw how well made they are. All red flags for me since my glass is half empty. Anyways I am very happy with my purchase and can't wait to spark the double corona and torpedo I received as well. For 25 cigars (13 torpedos, 6 robustos, and 6 double coronas) I paid 140$ with shipping. If you like your Dominican leaf I think you will be satisfied with these. They are not on the site so call and ask for them if you are interested.

Just passing the good word on and nothing else

Oh yeah, Jake!!! Their Nic puros are some of the best I've ever had! I have a limited number of double robustos left from a box I got there three years ago. Been rationing them!! Had a sampler from them my first time I visited, and loved every one! Best little-known shop in the USA that I know of!!
