Default pipe cleaning

hi all just got my father in laws pipes he use to smoke have not been smoked in a while how is the best way to clean these so i might use them been wanting to try a pipe

Depending on how much cake is built up inside, you can probably get away with a Salt and Alcohol treatment, and then using some pipe cleaners dipped in high proof alcohol inside the stem. If the stems taste bad they may be oxidized and a soak in OxiClean and a good once over with a Mr Clean magic eraser should do the trick.

I use 151 rum to clean my pipes, along with pipe cleaners, of course. You might want to try that first, unless the pipes are really caked.

I find that 151 does the job very effectively myself. And unlike other forms of alcohol, you can drink what is left over....
