So sad.. A hard time for all and around Christmas.. So sad.

...

I had heard about this tragedy on the radio while conducting business in Hollywood this morning, and had just parked my car on Santa Monica Blvd across the street from an elementary school. A red pickup truck was slowly traveling the opposite way with a Santa Clause standing in the bed. I had just exited my vehicle as the pickup made a right-turn into the school yard, and my eyes then noticed that several classes were lined-up out front in the playground with their teachers and what appeared to be parents too. Someone announced on a megaphone "Here comes Santa everyone. Let's welcome Santa..." wherein all of the children started yelling Santa' name and cheering for him.

Then I thought back to those children in Connecticut whose Xmas was taken away from them today. Had to grab a Keenex you know?

Early this afternoon, I picked up my 16 yr old daughter from school on her short day. As she got in the car, I gave her an extra special big hug and told her that I loved her. We hit Jack n the Box thereafter and enjoyed some lunch and some extra time together.

Our prayers go out to those that lost a special loved one this morning...

Sounds like the shooter's Mother was the teacher in the classroom where he did the most damage....haven't heard if this has been confirmed yet though.

That is also what I heard - and that she was also one of those now dead.

So damn senseless.. It just upsets me that this year just couldn't end without another shooting... Just mortifying.

seriously what could of been so bad in this kids life that he had to go out and kill all those innocent kids? people these days have no regard for another human life its just senseless and im terrified of what the future will bring! no gun control is not the answer but what is? i dont have a lot of years on my feet but i do know that 20 years ago we didnt have stuff like this then. so what has changed between then and now? this is just getting ridiculous.

prayers for the families that have lost a loved one.

Tragic, sickening, disturbing come to mind. I think the worst thing I heard today was that parents were instructed to go to the fire hall to find their children. I can't even begin to imagine the macabre of parents looking for their children only to find out they were one of the victims. That would be a pretty horrific scene in itself.

When my wife and I first heard about this, we were both horrified. We have 1 grandson in high school and another in kindergarten. Our prayers go out to all those involved in this senseless act of violence.

It was an act of pure evil committed by someone who was, no doubt, seriously mentally ill. My prayers too go out to all of the children and families.

Am I the only one who is disturbed by the non-stop cable news coverage of this tragedy?

Mac you said!

As a father of two young girls, I am not even going to pretend to have any idea what these parents are going thru.....my prayers go out to them.

It infuriates me! put me within 25 yards of one of these evil mother f--kers and my 10 mm and I will smoke-um like a pack of Cools without hesitation.

All these cowardliness school side shootings began right after the implantation of "gun free" school zones
