Default Piper in Training

Well, I finally took the plunge into pipe smoking. Saw a great deal that Mark (Cigarmony) had (still has) on a Savinelli briar and an Old Boy lighter. I've now read all the posts here in the pipe section (thanks for all of the great info) and am looking forward to starting in. Although I'll be traveling this week, I look forward to next weekend when I can hit the local B&M and select a few good tobaccos.

This seems like a great time to explore a pipe, as I smoke in my pseudo-man-cave (unheated garage). Figure the interesting & seasonal blends may go well with the cold winter air, the warm bowl may help keep my hands from freezing and my wife may even appreciate the aroma!

Thanks again for all of your tips, links and write-ups on various blends that you've tried. Enjoy!
