Am I the only one who is absolutely ecstatic over daylight savings time?

Life is good.

I don't mind it, but getting up at 5:30 to go to the gym sucks because it's REALLY 4:30 and all I can do is look at the clock and think Lewis Black... "KISS MY ....!"

To me, six months of one, half-dozen of the other. Once you see the back side of 60, an hour here or there don't mean squat.

Sorry, not this guy.
I spent all of last summer fighting with a 5yr old who couldn't understand why she had to go to bed when it was still light out.
It seemed like we had the exact same argument every night.

I do like the extra daylight at the end of the day. That being said I am concerned especially as I am aging by the yearly spring forward. Depending on which medical study one may read, the occurrence of Stroke and heart attack go up for the week after the Spring change anywhere from 8% to 44%. Leave it the same all year long then the kids have an extra hour during the winter to be out in the cold playing.

I like the extra daylight on the back end just fine. But, they should adjust it so there's still extra hour of light in the morning, too. Instead of one more hour of daylight, we could get to extra hours.

I saw this the other day; it definitely sounds apocryphal but is still amusing:

An old Indian chief, upon having DST explained to him, said "Only a government could think that if you cut one foot off of one end of a blanket and sewed it on to the other end, you've got a longer blanket."
