Default Famous Blends

I'm looking into some budget smokes, but I'm confused whether the numbers on Famous's in-house blends mean anything. Is a 5000 better than a 1000, or are they just different to set apart different blends?

Also, any Famous recommendations at all? I know the Nic 5000s get a lot of praise around here, but I also really like Dominican cigars and wondered if anyone had any experience with Famous's Dominican blends. Thanks!

I can vouch for the Nic 5000 and 3000, haven't tried the others

Make it 2 for the 3000's. I bought about 3 bundles a few years ago and they are smoking great still. I wish they would open the box on who blended them and the story behind them because they are a beautiful cigar!

The numbers are just I.D. numbers (1000,5000) .
I have tried a bunch of different ones, and can say that I like the 3000 and the 5000 the best. I have tried the dominican 1000 and found it to be pretty good too.
I also like the famous VSL nic and dominican series.

I have been wondering about the VSL dominican series. I typically like a smoke with a brazilian wrapper. Just haven't been able to pull the trigger.

I like the 6000s. The 5000s, not so much.

I ve tried several with mixed results. Best I ve had are Nic 7000s, but for the price... I m a robusto smoker and have found that they seem to smoke better than the longer stick just my opinion T

The 5000 is a nice everyday maduro after 6 months or so, not pretty to look at but tasty.

The 3000 is very tasty although I have only had the robusto.

It had depth of flavor I didn't expect. Some spice but mostly a rich and leathery smoke. I like a good, heavy smoke and these have it.
