Default Who would you bump

This thread is just for fun! I am not advocating that anyone bump anyone.

However ...

There are many unsung heroes on our little board. The big names we all know about and see them fairly regularly doing what they do best ... namely leading by example and being all around great S/BOTLs.

However, there are lesser known people who make life richer by being here. Perhaps they don't have the board wide impact or name recognition, but they are there making our little corner of the world much nicer because they are there.

So, who are they? Tell us a little bit about them and see to it that they get some measure of recognition. While I am wholly against the whole "smoke rings" thing, I am in favor of bombing people into oblivion.

TMSAISTI

Go for it. I'll post later

Our active military brethren get my vote, in particular Imthegoal (Brian) is back for what I believe is his third tour. Brian s someone who has never been anything less than top notch and a good friend.

There are quite a few. I'll mention a couple off the top of my head. Note: I am mentioning folks that may be considered "unsung"

smokin5: Eric has a knack of paying attention to posts and surprising me with music/cigar bombs. One great one he sent was 2 live performances by The Faces. This was great stuff I never would have heard otherwise. I've noticed he takes care of other folks here in the music department as well.

TexanInMexico: Sure, Tavis sent me a full box of LGC Serie R but he also is quick with a kind PM when I need it and shows genuine concern for everyone on the board.

Jakaach: Most probably don't remember the Great Cake Bomb from the old board but Jeff really went over the top with that one. He is another one that keeps in touch via PM even though I'm not so good at answering.

These are 3 guys who are not postwhores and do not call out for attention but are a big reason I keep coming back.

Seriously:

daKlugs...I've learned more reading his posts on the art of smoking a cigar than any others.

shilala...the epitome of the human spirit winning out

countless others with just a kind word, an offer of a cigar, or just a smile when you need one...

Man ... too many to name on so many levels. There are so many guys who have touched me personally, and others who just go about their business doing the next right thing making the asylum a little better place to be. I fear if I started naming names, I'd leave someone out and then feel bad about it.

I don't post a lot these days, as life is pretty busy, but I browse the threads pretty often. There are an amazing number of BOTLs that, when I see the name in the thread, I stop to read what they have to say. Several of them have already posted in this thread

I'm gonna bump everybody, because this board as a whole has made me feel welcome.
The attitude everyone has to the new guy and the general family feel this place exhudes is amazing.

Thank you all.

The team of Eleven all deserve a bump of course, for the
community they've helped create and foster, although Dave
(daklugs) comes to mind in particular for his nuggets of sagely
wisdom. Tom (Icehog3) gets special mention for his post-whoring
and Peter (Pnoon) for his work making the CC section and
As far as regular folks go, I've gotta say Hugh (Hotreds)
deserves some lovin for all he does for the troops as well
as his generosity to our non-service members. Scott (shilala)
deserves a smackdown for his mad bombing campaigns as
well a cheerful perserverence as a human being,
Vin (massphatness) for his epic contests and generosity, Shawn (Silverfox)
for his work on the cheap sticks CC threads, Bob (Bobarian) for his
generosity on the MAW threads, and then there's Dball
for his noob blind taste test madness. The list truly goes on.
When you sit down and think of it, it's kind of overwhelming the
quality of the people we have on this board. So yeah,
