Default Help me pick a new humidor

Well tax return money will be in the bank on 3/4. The wife and I are gonna split it down the middle. I'm gonna put some in the bank, use some to pay on credit cards, but I also wanna buy a new and larger humidor. Help me out here. I'm looking at the $150-250 range. I'm thinking 50-100 count humidor, maybe more. Something good quality. Thanks.

The problem is that you will need the space -- sooner than you think -- so you might as well spring for it up front. Or, get a smaller, desktop humi and spring for a cooler at the same time

Smile Re: Help me pick a new humidor

I'm all for buying from Cheaphumidors.com, that's where I got mine. I got fast service and I absolutely love the humidor I bought from them. Great price on the humidor and the supplies too!

The only thing I can see about that foot locker humidor that I don't care for is that you would have to take out all the trays from the top to get at the supply on the bottom of the box. I realize that you can store smokes on the bottom that you are going to age for a longer period of time, but maybe a large humidor with individual drawers would be a better option.

Cheers,

Mike T.

I was going to suggest the Havana Foot Locker too. Watch C-Bid as they go pretty cheap there. BTW always go bigger.

Another vote for the foot locker from cheaphumidor.com! I like having a couple desk top size humidors for seasoning singles and I'm building a coolidor now for box storage and cedar tray single spill over. The advice from the crazies in here is right on in regards to always going bigger because you will fill up those desk tops fast! GL and be sure to post up pics.

I would not do the one with multiple drawers, I would be worried about humdity.

The other one looks decent, but you will outgrow it in a month.

Such naivety is amusing. If you don't want small humidors laying around everywhere, go big and forget about it. Remember, humidors only hold 2/3rd's (if that) of what they say will.

The Foot Locker is a great humidor and as Tom said, you will be looking to buy another one alot sooner than you think. But when it's full, go with a cooler.

The truth is it's better to go alittle bigger than you think you will need. Than to end up too small. You can always add cigars you can't add more humidor space without buying another.

I agree you can end up doing a lot of digging with the Havana Footlocker but I've got one that's stuffed tot he gill's with cigars for the troops, topped off with beads it keeps the cigars in top shape. It's got room for numerous boxes and the 2 trays offer plently of room for singles. Great humi!!

I would tend to lean you towards the locker also, but if you want inexpensive and a lot of storage capacity then go for the cooler. I have a 50 qt that I set up for under $100.00 including beads and it holds RH better than my desktops!

just my $.02
