tonight I drank the last 2 Avery IPA I had in the fridge then went down the street and got a Hop Juice 22. Sharp, cascade flavors in the Avery and sweetness in the Hop Juice. Paired them with a RAss 04 from a box I recently opened. Great night.

Corsendonk Christmas Ale, a pretty tasty BSDA. Picked up a case of 750s on clearance from a local bottle shop.

Last night at our get together at Coffee District, sampled:

New Holland - El Mole Ocho (very interesting beer with chocolate and spices)
Firestone - Double Jack IIPA (really good)
Hanger 24 - Columbus IPA (good)
O'So Brewing Co - Lupulin Maximus Imperial IPA (had an actual hop cone in the bottle, ehhh/so-so)
Hair of the Dog - Ada (excellent, I brought this)
Alvinne - Calvados Barrel Melchor (brewed with mustard seed, interesting beer, a little too 'hot' though)
Alaska Pilot IIPA
Homebrew Gose - mine
Southshore - Coffee Mint Bourbon Barrel Stout ( this was awful, too much mint for me, ben-gay on the nose)
Port Brewing - Mongo IPA
White Birch- Berliner Weiss (not so great)

That one did not get a fair review/chance; it was the last beer opened (don't know why), and the only beer tried after lighting a cigar outside. But that said it was very nice. Nice citrus flavor and hop aroma, the bitterness was on the higher side which I like to be balanced with more hop flavor, but it was a very well made beer.

Actually, it is called Wilco Tango Foxtrot (WTF!) and, yes, it is very good. I have yet to have a Lagunitas brew I didn't like.

Good stuff, Dave.

Sunday, I really enjoyed the Mission St. 2010 Anniversary Ale. I know you must be familiar with it.

I bought 3 - 2 left. I gotta get more. Road trip!!!!
