Sounds like your beads are dry.

Not necessarily, especially if you opened it 20 times a day.

There's a gazillion brothers that'll help you out with the "no cbid for Canucks" problem, myself included.

I know this is heresy to some, but I always blotted my new humis with distilled water and then soaked up the floral sponges, pucks, etc included and closed it up for a few days. Added Shilala's 65% beads and cigars after. All 4 of mine are holding solid, and all don't have the same tight seals. Try using the sponge method Scott noted and see if that doesn't do it.
