Default Tanqueray 10 and a Cucumber Slice

Try it. It does some crazy stuff with the botanicals. It doesn't work with any other gin I've tried.

Its amazing the extent of the internet. I'm having dinner and saw this, just ordered it - I don't drink this much but it is a lot fresher, nice change for sure.

Thanks for the advice!

Now what do I order for desert?

The mention of cucumber in Gin, makes me think of Hendrick's. Yumm

They do have a New York Cheesecake with Strawberry - good choice Major.

Will split it with the girlfriend and top it off with a nice cigar.

Glad I could help. I might have one of those LGCs you sent me tomorrow since you got me thinking of them!

Crap, I just spent my money on a regular bottle of Tanqueray... I don't suppose this recipe would work on that, would it? I mean, it does taste different with more botanical notes than most other gins....

I guess I could just try it and find out.

Next time grab a bottle of Hendricks Gin if you like cucumbers.

You can drink it straight over ice or with some tonic.

I absolutely hate regular Tanqueray. I don't know why but it just tastes like crap to me.

The cucumber is suggested on the tag of a bottle of Hendricks. In a Hendricks Gin and tonic I usually use a couple of slices of cucumber and slightly muddle it. I haven't tried it with Tanq10, but I imagine it would be good -- probably with most any gin, actually.
The Hendrick's flavorings though seem to suggest cucumber all by itself...
