Default Wii or ps3

My Father got my Son a Wii for xmas, I was leaning towards the ps3. My Son plays alot of guitar hero and wants rock band, he also like call of duty. Right now he has a ps2. Should I go ahead and keep the Wii or exchange it for the ps3?

How ya going to exchange your kids gift for something else?

I'd stick with the Wii, that thing is a blast. Especially bowling.

Because I am the Dad, and its my house, my rules! Im bigger than he is (not for much longer)! Just want to make sure his game system goes with his style of gaming.

Personally, wouldn't let any other gaming system in my home than a Wii. Would allow the Wii so that my kids isn't gaming by lounging on his posterior.

Of course, that's just my

1. How old is your son?

The Wii is better suited for youger players. Not that adults can't have a blast with it as well, just that the PS3 doesn't have many good games for pre-teens.

2. Do you have an HD TV?

I have a Wii, and when I upgraded to a hi-def TV, the graphics were so bad that I quit playing it for the most part. The HD TV really accentuates the not-so-great graphics of the Wii. I bought a PS3 and have loved it. Plus it's a blu-ray player.

The Wii is great for younger kids, but the PS3 gets the nod for teens. COD4 and COD5 are great!

wii has guitar hero and (maybe?) rock band as well. Call of Duty might be the clincher though. I'd stick with the Wii. Well, I did.

you can get component cables for the Wii and change settings for widescreen and HD . It's not 720 or 1080, but it looks a lot better than normal.

I agree with Wii for the younger kids. Bought one for my daughters and the youngest one loves it. Dad likes bowling, Tennis and boxing. Lots of Nintendo type games. I got a PS3 for me and I love it. XBox 360 is on the list.

So you are calling MikeyJ23, Darrell and myself 'little kids' or 'girls'? Wow.

As for my opinion, the Wii rocks...
