Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's Thursday which means we'll be at the Aroma Cigar Room this evening smoking top shelf stogies and all. Beth and I had a good day yesterday, got some Christmas shopping done and the tree is up in the living room. I hope everyone has a good day and we see a number of the local S/BOTL tonight......

Good morning everyone, the coffee is on as always and it's Friday! We had a good evening at Aroma, a number of the regulars were out and enjoying primo stogies and all. Congrats to the Buffalo Bills for beating the New England Patriots last night. Even though I'm a Philadelphia Eagles fan, I still root for the New York teams to win. Anyway, I hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy a favorite or two or........

Good morning all, the coffee has been on since 0410 and it's back to work Monday. We had a great weekend overall: spent the day Saturday at the Aroma Cigar Room with the crew saying good by to one of our dear friends that's relocating to Charleston, SC with his wife; yesterday, we spent the day at the Resorts World Catskills https://rwcatskills.com/ with a number of our friends as we attended the Hudson Valley Honor Flight "Lunch of Honor". Congrats to the Philadelphia Eagles on another win and now have a record of 11 - 1. I hope everyone has a great week and enjoys.......

Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's already "Hump Day". We're getting ready for this Saturday's big football game in Philadelphia where Army will beat Navy this year. We'll be heading down there Friday morning as the festivities start early. I'll be at the coin toss escorting a number of Medal of Honor recipients which is always my honor. I hope you all have a great day and enjoy...... 🇺🇸

Good morning all, the coffee is on as always and it's Thursday which means we'll be at the Aroma Cigar Room this evening. Another busy prep day here at West Point prior to taking off tomorrow for Philadelphia. Last night, the Corps of Cadets (4000+) had their bonfire / prep rally, etc. Today, the marathon team takes off and runs the game ball down to Philly which will arrive Saturday around noon time. Kick off is just after 1500 (3 PM) EST. I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys a favorite or two as well........ 🍻

Charlie, this is a question there may be no answer for, but since a friend stumped me with it and it's sort of in your wheelhouse, here goes:

Since the Army-Navy game is always played at college football season's end, and the CFP playoff teams are announced a week earlier, what would happen if Army or Navy were in contention for one of those top 4 (or in the future, more) slots but their rivalry game hadn't happened yet? Would the playoff picks have to be delayed?

Like I said, this hypothetical is only sort of in your wheelhouse, but maybe the topic has come up in your realm over beers or cigars.

Good morning everyone, coffee at my buddy’s and then we’ll be making our way to Center City Philadelphia. We’ll be meeting up with the Highway Patrol and Medal of Honor recipients. We’ll first stop by the Twins Shoppe for a cigar. We’ll be on the field for the coin toss and then make our way up to the owner’s box to watch the game. Should be a great day enjoyed by all, Go Army, Beat Navy…… 🇺🇸

Not sure about that, I do know that neither team is a top level team at this point. May take many years to find out.

Good morning all, the coffee is on as always and it's back to work Monday here at West Point. We had a great time this past weekend in Philly, congrats to the Army team winning in overtime 20 - 17. Spent the entire weekend with dear friends that I've known for years and love them all. Got home yesterday to watch the Eagles win and giving them a 12 - 1 season record. I hope everyone has a great week and enjoys.......

Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's another early morning at West Point. It's currently a chilly 14°F outside right now according to NOAA here in the Hudson Valley and with a high 38°F predicted this afternoon:

I hope you all stay warm and enjoy. Remember to be safe out there especially during the holidays.......

Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's Thursday. Not sure we're going to make it to the Aroma Cigar Room this evening as the weather guessers are calling for a rain / snow mix starting late this afternoon into tomorrow. Yesterday, Beth and I got some of our Christmas shopping done and then we stopped by one of our go to spots for dinner and a few beers: https://www.templehillcatering.com/tavern/tavernmenu/
Have a great day all and definitely be careful out there.......

Good morning all, the coffee is on as always and it's Friday! I didn't go to Aroma last night as the sleet and freezing rain was a big part in my decision to stay home. This afternoon, my office is having our annual holiday party at Gasho Steak House. Always a fun time for sure:
https://www.gasho.com/
Tomorrow, Post 1796 American Legion in New Windsor, NY is having a Christmas Market and Fair that will host over 20 vendors along with Santa and Mrs. Claus available for pictures. They'll be plenty of cheer and good tidings for all to enjoy. We'll be there around 0700 (7 AM) to set up and the event goes from 1100-1700 (11 AM - 5 PM). Have a great weekend everyone and enjoy......

Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's back to work Monday. We had a good weekend overall: the office party was well attended and all had a good time; the American Legion Christmas Market was a huge success, over 500 people made their way through the fair and all the vendors were very happy; congrats to the Eagles on another win, I hope your team won as well. Enjoy your week all and remember to be safe out there......

Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's "Hump Day" already. Tonight, the Aroma Cigar Room is hosting their annual Christmas Party which starts at 1830 (6:30 PM) with RoMa Craft Tobac in the house. Always a great time had by all and we all bring gifts to share with each other. I hope you all enjoy the day and we hope to see all the local S/BOTL this evening.......

Good morning all, the coffee has been on since 0410 as always and it's Friday! I took the day off yesterday as we had some final holiday prep to get done as well as a use-or-lose vacation day. The Christmas party the other night at Aroma was great, the place was packed and the RoMa Craft Tobac cigars were spot on. I hope everyone has a great Christmas weekend, be safe out there and enjoy....... 🍻

Good morning everyone, the coffee is on as always and it's back to work Tuesday after a relaxing 3 day Christmas weekend. Beth and I spent time with a number of family members and got plenty of rest at home as well. This will be an easy week at West Point as the Cadets are still off and half the Cadre are home as well. Enjoy your week all and definitely be safe out there......

Good morning all, the coffee has been on since 0410 as always and it's already "Hump Day". We're finally going to see the temperatures rise above freezing for a few days here in the Hudson Valley according to NOAA:

https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClic...4#.Y6wc2x1Omi4

I'm taking off of work tomorrow as I have one more day of use-or-lose vacation time. Being that tomorrow looks the best weather day of the week, I'll take the outside Christmas lights down and store them away for next year. We normally wait until after the new years but we have a Key West trip coming up next week. Enjoy everyone........

Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's the last Friday of the year. As planned, we got all the holiday stuff down and stored to include the Christmas tree and all. After relaxing a bit in the afternoon, we tapped a new keg in the kegerator: Newburgh Brewing Amaizing Lager https://untappd.com/b/newburgh-brewi...-lager/2874435
For dinner, we went with a couple of Angus steaks on the grill along with baked potatoes and grilled brussel sprouts which all came out great. Afterwards, I went over to the Aroma Cigar Room and smoke a couple of primo stogies and spent time with the fellas. This weekend will be a relaxing one as Beth and I are saving up our energy for our week in Key West which is always a great time. Enjoy all and stay safe out there.....
