Tattoo machines...

Now, I know not everyone on these here forums is a fan of tattoos... but we are all (hopefully!) fans of cigars and related doodads...

There is a tattoo artist called Tim Hendricks, and one of his other businesses is building hand made tattoo machines... if you take a closer look at some of the photos in his galleries here, you can see he uses old cigar bands to case the electrical coils. I think this is pretty damned neat.

didn't he work at the Miami Ink shop for a while? I remember his name from Discovery Channel.

Apparently so... I was unaware of this. I have only had discovery for about 3 months

I have a ton of tats going back when they were not popular late 70's My first was done with a homemade unit LOL kinda faded now

Got my first at 19 or 20. Been talking to an artist in Santa Barbara about doing a leg sleeve next month

Nice looking machine. I like how he incorporated the old key into it as well.
