Re: Dark Lord Day 2011
Weekend was AMAZING. Got there Friday night, hit up the brewpub. Had 2008 Bourbon Barrel Moloko, and a Bourbon Barrel Alpha Klaus. Also their Ham on Rye beer, pretty solid. Oh yea, Zombie Dust too, which is awesome.
Started the morning off with a 2010 KBS bottle, got right in the complex, hit up the brewpub to get Vanilla Bean and Bourbon Barrel Dark Lord. O...M...G... Hah. Those beers were phenomenal. After that we went to a tasting tent and starting pouring and sharing with some other people. I can't remember what all I had. I did have a little GI Bourbon County Rare (Pappy Barrels, which was fantastic). 09 Nemesis, Hoppin Frog Boris, some Surly beers, and a bunch of other amazing **** I can't think of right now. It started to get a little fuzzy after awhile. Flawless weekend. Definitely better than last year. Also, Dark Horse Double Crooked Tree on draft, some Jolly Pumpkin beers, etc etc. At DLD we were posted up by the silo with the DLD banner on it, under the tent in front of that. |

What a day!! It was great seeing Hootie, Tim, Wes, and Gary again. It was also nice to see a newb experience a DLD. I hope your friend Keith had a good time Hootie. Thanks again to Wes for the ribs and Gary for the hot dogs. Hey Hootie can't wait for you to open that Golden Bottle!! I can't forget Hootie for being so generous with his beer again.
