Is this full city plus??

I am trying to compare this roast to the chart and think it qualifies as full city plus, but wanted some more experienced eyes to see it.

It was roasted past the 8 minute max on the Freshroast 8 by about 1 minute, so it roasted about 9 minutes, which i think is long for the Freshroast.

There is no doubt it went to second crack as it was very easy to hear the rapid "snap crackle pop" so many describe.

I stopped the roast about 10 seconds into second crack and quickly cooled it in a collander.

Not sure if it matters, but it was Sweet Marias Classic Espresso blend which they recommend to be roasted full city to full city plus.

Newb!

Pictures and colors are tough but it sounds like you got to a rolling 2nd crack which is Vienna. A few pops will be FC+. You have some slight charring on the beans as well but I am unfamiliar with your roaster so I am not sure how to advise with that other then less heat in your profile but it sounds like you are already pushing the time limit.

If it tastes good then that is all that matters at this point

. BTW I just did some Classic to Vienna and it is darn good, I will be trying FC next ( just before 2nd crack)

Well, I will be lightening up a bit for a while because the Costa Rica hardbean arrived yesterday.
