Default Cigars and Food

How many of you have cigars while eating? Do you smoke at the dinner table?

Last weekend I went to an Italian restaurant in the Bronx and they allowed us to smoke and eat at the same time; how wonderful! Many times we have cheese and cured meats out while smoking at my house, but never a full blown dinner and cigars...

Dinner table smoke at my house is normally after dinner...

At my golf club they have steak & cigar dinners on a monthly basis during the spring/summer. Smoking a cigar and eating a big, fat, juicy steak is like heaven on earth.

This is just my 2 cents: I enjoy a cigar after a meal, but never during. To me no matter how good the meal or cigar is, I could never smoke and eat at the same time. The thought of it turns me off. Just my opinion

I smoke during meals all the time. A good scotch, steak, and cigar makes for a wonderful evening. Though I'll smoke while eating just about anything.

I used to think that smoking and eating was a bad combination until I started trying it at cigar events. Now I think it's great. I love the mixture of tastes and smells.

Yeah, I don't know if I'm up for that. Not knocking those of you who do but I just don't think that's my cup of tea. I prefer a smoke free environment when I'm eating.

the MoB crew went to a restaurant that allowed smoking once and I believe we smoked during appetizers but not during the meal.

They allowed you to smoke in a restaurant in the Bronx? That's very unusual with NYC's public indoor smoking ban. How late was it?

I've had a smoke during appetizers, and as long as it was light, I had no problem. But a full blown meal was kind of weird with the flavors overwriting each other; the cigar tasted like chicken kiev.

that's grotesque. just my opinion...

my mother-in-law smokes cigarettes while eating - bear in mind, i'm a reformed smoker myself - and that would make me sick as well.

I don't mind snacking on meats while smoking, but I don't think I'd enjoy a full fledged meal with a cigar

Bacon makes everything better, this includes cigars
