Link not working for me?

Sorry, it somehow truncated the link and it wouldn't work.

Should work now.

Dave, I love rye. Is this a different Sazarac than what's available elsewhere? I was going to bring a bottle also. Seven year old, cut bottle, about $20. I don't mix it, drink it neat.

I won't be picking up the bottle till Saturday but I believe it to be the same whiskey. I've heard that with small batch whiskeys a private selection distributor has the pick of which bottlings to purchase. And since the whikey is made with small batches there will be a variance between one bottling and the next, thus giving you a better assurance of quality.

I see the Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon has a high Rye content.

For Dafu, this thread is for bourbons we will be having for a tasting at Shack. Bourbon for cocktails will be great, but not sure if this is the place to post it. Are you putting this bourbon down for the tasting we have scheduled, or are you bringing that for everyone at Shack to sample?

I don't know why Dave put "for cocktails". I drink this rye neat. Bring it Dave, if no one else drinks it, it won't go to waste

Is there going to be a seperat table/area set up for the bourbons?

Space will be at a premium with over 100 BOTL and SOTL, so I am thinking y'all will just need to wing it, Marc.

Since Sazerac is not technically a Bourbon but a Kentucky straight Rye whiskey I picked up a bottle of Russells Reserve for the tasting.
Maybe we could reserve a Bourbon table under the tent for the Bourbon tasters...........................

A new one for me was the Colorado Whiskey, which is not bourbon, but thought it was very good.

Greatest disappointment was the Basil Hayden's. I like my Bourbon sweeter.

I am not sure that all the whiskey was laid out there. Me and Albert were thinking maybe we should hold it back for an official sitdown. Then we smoked alot of cigars and talked to alot of people and drank alot of drinks and then I left, lol. BUT there was a ton of whiskey on the table, hell I almost personally killed half of the Buffalo Trace HG I brought on Thursday. Sorry I forgot the Wild Turkey Rare Breed I had in the truck. I thank the people who brought the delicious tawny ports. I had never had that and it was clear that all ports are not the same. ALOT of people have bought port and 'bout barfed. The tawny could certainly grow on me.
