Arturo Fuente Hemmingway short story. Loved the sweet tobacco but a great deal of it was a little bitter TBH. Any idea what could be causing this? Over/under humidification? Too fresh? It rested in the humi for at least 2 months.

To Me The SS Are Hit Or Miss. I've Had Great Ones & Bitter Ones Like You, No Matter How Long They Rested. Most Cigars Are Much Milder & Less Harsh After 6 Months To A Year Of Rest.

La Aurora 107 lancero. Just took the flame to this cigar and I am already getting a ton of smoke. If these nut and leather flavors continue I am going to love this smoke

I had an AF SS today too, but maduro. It was great. I have been finding that cigars shipped by post need lots of rest in my humidor and reconditioning to get them back to right humidity. Does anyone find this also?

Definitely! I Usually Rest My Sticks At Least A Month; Some Need At Least A Year To Reach Their Optimum Condition, IMO. Case In Point: Ashton VSG & Olivas.

CAO Cameroon Robusto; good start down to the nub. Good burn with one correction. A little bitter at times but most likely caused by me. Mostly smooth, with hints deep dark coffee and cocoa towards the end. Medium smooth finish. A keeper!

La aroma de Cuba mi amor, then I am going to smoke a house blend when I get to work. Our roller just got back from Nicaragua so I'll have to try the new goodies!

Today I tried my 1st Torano Exodus 1959 50 years this morning. It was too cold out to fully appreciate but I got a couple more to try when the weather improves.

Finished off my lunch today with a Rocky Patel Decade short robusto that I picked up in a box pass somewhere. Wasn't bad, but not one of my faves. Don't see myself buying more of these.
